Probably the most important thing is that I love my life. It's had challenges that have shaped and strengthened me and gifts for which I'm so grateful: two careers that I've loved, wonderful friends (some of whom I've known for 40 years, others of whom I've met recently), a home that feels welcoming to me and others, a daughter and son-in-law that I'd love even if they weren't my family, great education, wonderful travel memories -- and plans for more travel to come.

I love the outdoors, the mountains and the desert, hot springs and beaches, urban parks and sky scrapers, biking, hiking, strolling, boating, camping, fishing, ice skating and gardening. I went boogie boarding at Stinson Beach for the first time recently with friends I had a great time in the water, but getting out of the wetsuit was another story. If I could have only stopped laughing ... But it was fun and I'll do it again. Although I tried skiing a couple of times, look forward to more practice.
I have two grandson which I visit in LA as often as possible. I raised two daughters, so I am discovering the delight of boys. They climb and leap from tall building (no just furniture, but I fear that they would if they could), they build railroads and villages, search for worms and find wonder in each new discovery. I love them.
Many years ago I traveled through Europe on the back of a BMW motorcycle and camped. I've gone to a few more places over the years and had a few more adventures. I'm looking forward to the next one.
