Family and friends are very important to me and now that I'm retired, I have time to spend with them. I have two grown sons; both are successful, married, and have given me wonderful daughters-in-law and grandchildren.
I'm looking for someone who enjoys life and likes himself. I really do love entertaining; the planning, shopping and cooking are all a pleasure for me. Currently, I am loving my brand new kitchen. Of course, it took longer than I expected and cost more than I wanted, but so very, very worth it!! I'm am an avid gardener, love music and manage to read the daily paper and good books. Recently, I made time to join a book club. I regularly attend the theater and am a subscriber to three. I don't hike, but I can do a 5K; I'm not a biker, but enjoy being outside; I thought I had one more ski trip in me but after a terrible fall, think I may have to give that up. I might try kyaking on the Russian River on a very warm day.
I do love to travel and finally have the time. Just since I retired, I've been to Europe twice, once to France and then a fabulous river trip from Amsterdam to Budapest. A separate trip to Prague via train rounded out the visit. In addition, I recently did a road trip with a friend from here to Austin. It was a fun trip with no problems and a good time. Then I flew off to the east coast to visit a long-time friend and tour Philadelphia, among other places, for the first time. It is quite an interesting, historical city and I can't believe I hadn't been there since I grew up on the east coast. This week I spent five days in Sonoma, glorious days touring and tasting.
Outdoor music season is here and all I can say is that there is so much music to be heard, I may never be home. There are several venues in Redwood City and San Carlos, music in the park in Menlo Park, the jazz workshop at Stanford, jazz at Stanford Shopping Center and two evening performances in Los Gatos.

I'm still working 4 days a week and have a varied work schedule so that makes life interesting. I enjoy my job and have been doing it for 30 years now. During my 38 years of marriage and raising my five daughters, I bred, trained and showed Belgian Sheepdogs; I enjoyed some time in Nevada where I had horses, cows, pigs, chickens and rabbits. My girls were involved in 4-H, which gave me the opportunity to try my seat in barrel racing on two of my horses. FUN. IРІР‚в„ўve also enjoyed many summers camping, fishing, boating, and waterskiing. I've tried my hand (and shoulder) at deer, duck, quail and rabbit hunting. And helped my ex with his taxidermy business many years ago .Last year I tried my РІР‚?balanceРІР‚в„ў with Snowboarding and though I was successful as a beginner I think IРІР‚в„ўll leave the risk to the young. I like to dance and love Latin music, but need a good partner to lead.
