I am a recently retired 60 year old who still believes in love, passion, laughter, and the joy that comes with sharing lifes ups and downs with someone who feels the same as I do. I am a born again Christian who understands that my steps are ordered by the Lord and I give praise to him for all the blessings he has brought and continues to bring to my life.
I have spent the last 40 years of my life nurturing the lives of thousands of children and adolescents as a teacher, school administrator and central office administrator. I loved my work and my post-retirement plans are to continue my work as an educator by opening a charter school that will focus on improving the world of schooling for African American males. My passion drives this vision and I can't wait to the first day of classes:). I also do consultancy work for a private educational company that focuses on providing training for educators who are concerned about the impact of racism on the education of underserved students of color.
Although I have these professional things going on in my life (post-retirement), I truly yearn for a personal life that allows me to be equally passionate and commited.
When I retired I told people that I was "retiring and rewiring." I have only taken care of one half of the rewiring ( working on professional projects I choose to pursue) and am anxious to complete the other half (working on establishing a serious relationship with a man who sees the beauty in me, inside and out. ) If you feel you might be that person please send a message and we will see where our path leads.

My journey West began in the 60РІР‚в„ўs, when I heard the call of the Haight-Ashbury and moved here from New England to join the movement and challenge the establishment. Now that IРІР‚в„ўm in my 60РІР‚в„ўs, I live in Castro Valley with my housemate, Snoopy, the dog, and spend lots of energy figuring out how to live within the establishment. IРІР‚в„ўm still very concerned about our social issues and hope you would be as well.
Here’s a little about me. I have a generous flowing spirit and am very grateful each day for my wonderful life, fabulous adult children and meaningful work that I enjoy with plans to retire in 3 or 4 years. Some of my pleasures include walking, hiking, reading, movies, theatre and eating out. I like to travel and love weekend getaways. I’m always up for adventure, I love to learn new things and am full of curiosity. With me, you’ll never be bored and we’ll thrive on learning from each other, but I also do enjoy just relaxing at home and not always being on the go. I’m a woman with a happy, active mind, who has her own opinion, believes in the man she loves and will always be there for him through thick and thin. I am quite natural—no longer have to wear the business attire—very comfortable in jeans, but also enjoy dressing up.
We’re both busy during the week, so we check in at night with each other, share our days and ourselves and sweet goodnights. The weekends are our time to devote to each other through play, fun, adventure, get aways and loving time together. I am looking forward to spending time with YOU—smelling the roses, having stimulating conversation, hanging out, reading books, playing games like Scrabble, cards, etc.
I admire a man who is thoughtful of others, kind hearted, warm, open-minded, loving, positive and social, and who likes to take the lead (though donРІР‚в„ўt worry, I can take over sometimes), who finds delightful restaurants or out of the way places and other surprises. I consider a man like this is a treasure and someone to be cherished in all ways. A person who works hard but enjoys life at the same time. You definitely have adult children and might even have animals of your own that you dote on.
To the right person, I will offer unconditional love, passion, compassion, understanding, acceptance, support, friendship and comfort. I love a man who has a sense of purpose in his life bigger than himself. I am a big believer in the importance of giving people their own space and freedom. The men I most admire are the ones who sacrificed and overcame hardship to get where they wanted to go.
Deep down I believe we all want the same thing – someone who will truly love us for who we are…chemistry is important, being able to talk to someone with ease – not having to force a conversation or try and “be” who you think the other person wants.
