My two boys and I spend as much time as possible skiing in Tahoe in the winter. We are gearing up for what we hope will be a season of abundant snowfall. It would be wonderful to share this with a like-minded companion.

What about Sardegna and Morocco? Istanbul is on my list. Southeast Asia, too. I'm as at home in sophisticated restaurants as I am in nature but must say I prefer the latter. Shopping at the farmers market and preparing a meal together at home beats most dining out experiences. But dressing up and going out is great, too.
As for exploring the inner world, I see our relationship as one that fuels personal and spiritual growth. May we have much compatibility but know that the ways in which we challenge each other are doorways to clearer understanding of ourselves and ultimately creating more intimacy between us. I consider myself a "teacher in recovery", and I've enjoyed a number of interesting jobs focusing on travel, education, and language. For the past five years, I have found my "niche" working with international visitors touring the US on professional training programs. Fulfills my love "learning on the job", puts me in contact with fascinating people, but the "feast or famine" pace can be a challenge, especially in this era of budget cuts! Although I love not having to conform to a routine 40-hr week, it's time to create a more "local" career so that I can enjoy regular activities here in the wondrous Bay Area, and nurture a long-term relationship...thus, my renewed focus on reaching out to meet someone equally special and, hopefully, as passionately international, curious, and interested in engaging actively in the world around us.
I lived/worked in Europe and have traveled widely in the past, but I feel pretty settled in Berkeley after 20 yrs (!) For balance and a reality check, I go as often as possible to my "second home" in New England (Boston and southern Maine)...if I could stand the long winters, I'd move back there! I live in the Berkeley hills, near Tilden Park, where I love to run, play, and splash around in Lake Anza (but no, I'm not a dippy Berkeley hippy!) I enjoy just kicking back in my garden on a beautiful summer's day, after a vigorous morning run and swim, brunching with mimosas on my patio with my sweetie (could be you??); or maybe throwing a juicy steak on the grill with friends and a glass of chardonnay; or curling up by a crackling fire in the evenings with my sweetie (could be you??), with some hot mulled wine, soaring music and joy in the air.
