I have been a widow for amost five years and busy myself with my work (with at risk and delinquient teens), pets and projects around the house. Parts of that weren't funny then but, now that time has passed I can laugh at the episode. My children are grown with careers and famlies of their own. I have one grandson and three grown step-grandaughters. I try and live by the Golden Rule that one treats people the way they would like to be treated. So far that philosophy has worked for me. I enjoy vacations to Maine in the summer months as it allows me time to reflect on the beauty of it all. I was born in Maine and spent my first few years there, living with my parents and brother, on a farm near my grandfather, who was devoted to the horse racing circuit.
