Date a woman from United States. A little about me: Originally from NY, I've been in California since 1980. Raised my sons here: they both now live very near with their families. That combination have provided a very interesting and challenging career. Along the way, I've traveled quite a bit and found that I love to travel. Those road warrior days are over but I still get away as often as possible. Sometimes to local weekend getaways. Other times to mostly sunny, warm places.
I am still working part-time. I teach nursing and consult occasionally. I continue to work primarily because I find the academic challenge exciting and stimulating: rather like cerebral calisthenics. And helping to mold the next generation of nurses is gratifying!
I am smart, sassy, fun, funny, energetic, active, upbeat, curious, open-minded and not ready to retire to the couch for a long while!

I think my favorite spot to just hang out and take in would be Sedona, AZ. Many summer vacations were spent camping on Oak Creek. I'd take my beach chair, set it in the creek and just listen to the water and soak in the sun. This is where I found that dragonflies like to sunbathe on human toes. Tarantulas will stroll dirt paths with you and cicadas occassionally drop in your lap. And it doesn't hurt to experience an August monsoon while eating a big, fat jelly donut!. I'm looking for someone to share these types of great little moments...

It is important to be accepted for who I am and I would do the same for others. I am not very demanding with an easy going nature and love to laugh but don't push my hot buttons. I am small. (petite) but mighty so "macho types" beware!
They say we are part of all whom we have met and in that sense, I have millions of different parts (hopefully, the best from all). I have enjoyed a taste of European travel and would like to pursue this passion further when I retire.
My parents are 91 years old and thinking of going to Assisted Living so I will likely be on this earth for many more healthy years to haunt my two daughters.
Life continues to amaze me and I am always wondering what the next day will bring. The glass is half full so let's drink and be merry for tomorrow we may die..t, that is my philosophy.
Will match.com bring me my ideal mate? Perhaps not, but a true friend would be great! Honesty, kindness, personal pride are important male tributes, in my opinion. If he were to be a good dance partner, that would be a plus.
