Meet a soulmate from Poway, United States. I am lucky to live in the San Diego area where there is such a diversity of things to do. I like the fact that I can garden and ride my horse year-round. I also go on local day hikes (with or without the dog) and attend small-venue concerts. But almost everything I do would be better with someone to share it with.

I am an artist. I do watercolor painting for my personal expression. I also do commissioned portraits--usually in pencil, though I use other media on request. The money I make at it barely pays for the supplies, but I love doing it. The photos show a watercolor painting that finally did what I wanted it to do and a pencil drawing that was a commissioned portrait.
For the last 15 years I have been active in a local wildlife rehabilitation group. I feed baby birds during “baby season” (spring and summer), and I give presentations to local groups to help educate everyone on the benefits of having wild animals around. Besides the horse and the dog, I also have a parrot.
I am intelligent, articulate, and logical, but I am also emotional and intuitive. I dress appropriately, but I'm not big on the latest styles or fashion trends. I am not afraid of physical labor or a discussion of a controversial subject. I am neither an introvert nor an extrovert. Though I am not into drama, I am intense. I laugh easily and often, but my tears are close to the surface, too.
I am more motivated by the promise of a positive outcome than the fear of a negative one. The positives in life for me begin with the natural world--gardening, birdwatching, horseback riding, hiking. They include flavorful food, the rhythm of dancing, and the touch of skin on skin. But behind it all is the deeper spiritual meaning in the connection between all creation.

I have a lot of commitments and an erratic schedule. Sometimes I can't squeeze a new activity into a day. So I won't be able to drop everything and take off on an adventure.
