Date a woman from United States. Hi...I am a retired teacher with a positive attitude, good sense of humor, great health, financial stability and a zest for life. The only thing that would enhance my world would be someone to share the wonderful things life has to offer. (For me, sense of humor and positive attitude are a must!)
Having been a vegetarian for 40 years, I am very much into leading a healthy lifestyle. (I know I am the "unique" one and do not expect others to do the same.) I thoroughly enjoy the simplistic things of life and am loving retirement...gardening, golf lessons, beading, enjoying my home and pets, traveling, interacting with family and friends, wine tasting, etc. I also own a home on the Kern River which I am now renting to friends, therefore making me a landlord. After teaching for 35 years, this slower-paced, basically non-scheduled life is so great!

Meet someone special from United States. I am a person who enjoys exercising, riding my bike, eating out and discovering new and fun places to eat. In my former career, I lived outside of the United States which allowed me to experience the wonders of different cultures around the world. Since my retirement a year ago, being back in my home state of Southern California, has led to rediscover my home turf. I have returned to a very loving family, but now it is time for me to try and find that special someone with which to share happy times.
I enjoy good movies (please no animation lovers) and love to walk around my lovely neighborhood. I love finding a cozy breakfast diner and reading the morning newspaper with a good cup of coffee. I continue being interested in world news, especially world politics. I've had the good fortune of having a job that placed me in some of the most interesting cities in the world -- Port-au-Prince, Barcelona and Johannesburg to name just a few. I have found time to volunteer at a food bank center which I have found very satisfying to help neighbors in crisis.
At this time, I am ready to move into the next chapter of my life, that of finding the right guy with a good sense of humor to share the simple pleasures of life.

Date a soulmate from United States. I would hope to attract a centered, mentally and physically healthy altruist who loves people, nature and the big wide world. I hope to find a person who is easy to be with, respectful of everyone, and without a judgmental personality. High rates of laughter, coupled with introspection is valuable, with no problems apologizing and being assertive in equal measure when needed. that would be me certainly!
I am somewhat proud of my accomplishments, am well regarded by colleagues, family and friends and have a strong intuitive connection with many many people in my career. iI am a leader, loyal and commited in my work and personal relationships. I have no mental disorders, addictions or financial dysfunction, and I would need you to be equally centered.
Compassionate loving kindness is what I strive to cultivate in myself (keep hoping I am getting better and better, but who can say? I am not finished yet!) and i hope for the same in the gentle soul out there who would enjoy me loving you and your family, and you loving me and mine. I love truly, madly, deeply and to the soul in my family, friendships and partner relationship. I truly believe in equality, am not needy for anything, and need a life-proficient mate as well.
Sheesh! Whatever I write seems so, so possible for misreading! I sound, well, different and more assertive in this writing than feels comfortable!
Overall, bottom line, I hope you are a joyful person, with a sparkle in your eye, affectionate, kind, smart and witty who somehow finds himself single and with an open heart and as much love to give as I have. We don't "need" so much as "celebrate" our time together.
