Date a soulmate from California, United States. IРІР‚в„ўm a California native and spent my youth in beach towns near LAX. I moved to the Bay Area in 1969 and, with the exception of a few years in the Pacific Northwest, have been here ever since. I have been living in the Pleasanton / Dublin area for the past 12 years.
I retired just over a year ago from a job I loved, but have to say, retirement is not underrated! It was a bit challenging at first figuring out what to do with all this time on my hands. I now enjoy having as much time as I want to do things I never seemed to be able to fit in when working.
I would love to travel more than I have. My family lived on the Big Island of Hawaii for many years and I went often; most of my travels have been within US borders with a few trips beyond to Vancouver BC and Mexico. Crazy about Texas, Georgia and Oregon (only in summer!). Spoiled by Bay Area proximity to mountains and beaches, day trips to Wine Country, Capitola and so many gorgeous sights in between.
What is important to me at this stage of life is living whatever lies on the road ahead with gusto, seeing new sights, laughing when I start to take myself too seriously. I enjoy my family, grandchildren and friends but miss having one special man to share all that life has to offer. I think it's important to start slow, become friends and discover who another person is and romance blossoms where it wants to. At this stage of life, we all have so many layers the journey is half the fun!
Meet a woman from California, United States. I'm very real, easy going, with a passion for life and a bit of mischief thrown in on occassion. Definitely a no nonsense gal. I'm willing to try most anything at least once, am versatile, and try to have fun at whatever I do. I don't play games, and expect the same in return. I'm baggage free and don't bring drama with me, so personal issues are not a problem.
I'm interested in meeting a stable, fun, energetic man with a sense of humor. Eager to explore life and its adventures and is comfortable in casual and dressy environments. He would be honest, strong, thoughtful, compassionte, and have a good heart, as well as be conscience of his appearance and health. He should also possess a strong sense of family and be able to share his feelings as I would share mine. Like me. he is interested in a one-on-one LTR and not this internet marathon dating. Handy around the house would be a definite plus.
If you feel we would be a good match, I'd love to hear from you.
Date someone special from California, United States. I would llike to find someone, who like myself, enjoys family and fun times either together or being with other people. I do enjoy music and dancing and going for walks, sightseeing and
open to other ideas.
I would llike us to be good friends and share our
thoughts and feelings with each other. I like to
laugh and I lead a "Laughter Yoga" class.
People tell me I am a caring and helpful person and enjoy my company. I am hoping to find a
man first to be friends with and enjoy everyday
life with and see what comes next.
In the least we have met another person in this big world.
Meet a soulmate from United States. I am cute, intelligent, funny, hard working, loyal, tenacious, loving, financially secure, somewhat competitive, need to hold hands and walk the beach or dance in the kitchen while cooking dinner. Am a bit of a sports junkie as I was raised with 4 brothers. Physical touching is mandatory. I am looking for a gentle man and a gentleman. I love men with a killer smile. And above all I want to be in love again. I want to share my life with a very special man.
Please take me dancing, to a quiet dinner place or to the Top of the Mark. I will go fly-fishing with you, just teach me how and get the best anti-mosquito spray in the world (they like this fair skinned girl). I told someone recently that I didn't like to camp and their reply to me was "maybe you haven't been camping with the right person......." I like car shows and home and garden shows, would love to take rides on the back of a road bike, how about a cruise or a return trip to Catalina? Let's take the train to the rim of the Grand Canyon, the Smithsonion, Route 66, Mount Rushmore, Eiffel Tower, Lake Powell, Las Vegas.....the list is endless. I feel like a kid in a candy store and the world is just waiting so I can sample everything and I want to see everything through 2 pairs of eyes. What I miss you will see and share.
Would you like to see the leaves turn on the East Coast or watch the skaters at Rockefeller Center? Let's take the time to walk out into the Eucalyptus and watch the Monarch butterflies? Does the Tulips blooming in April in Golden Gate Park make you smile?
I am adventurous and love learning new things. For my birthday I have sky dived, parasailed and learned how to jet ski. I have taken numerous lessons over my lifetime and I still can't swim. I LOVE THE OCEAN, The sound of waves crashing.
For fun I take classes on how to use my computer. I am still learning more about plants and flowers even though I don't have a landscape business anymore. I am constantly looking at your profile trying to decide what to say in my first email to you.
I have been a Loan Officer in a Savings and Loan, Corporate Lending Secretary, owned my own Landscape/Design business, worked in a bookstore as the Office Supervisor, operated my own Decorating business, been a Mom to 2 awesome kids (both married to awesome people) and love my 5 grandchildren. I have 4 brothers who are very important to me and are absolutely part of my life. (When we get together boisterous is a very good description of the group.) My friends are numerous and varied. I love to entertain and am an awesome cook.
I like my home to be comfortable, but well maintained (in other words, I'm kind of an organizational wizard). I can refinish a table, plant a garden, put together a computer desk, and even changed the water pump in a '65 Lincoln Continental.
Holding hands with my children/grandchildren is my greatest joy.
I have recently decided retirement is for me. Now it's time to travel and explore.
My favorite food is Alaskan King Crab, Crab Cakes from Crow's Nest in Santa Cruz and Chicken Fajitas from a little dive in New Mexico called The Taco Box (they are to die for). I like to go to the Clam Chowder Festival in Santa Cruz and the Asparagus Festival in Stockton.
If all things work out we will have some good conversations, great laughs, sip some great wine/coffee/margaritas and get a new friend. If it works out really well we can find that special someone that makes the heart smile when they walk into the room.
Date a woman from United States. I am a sensitive, caring and interesting woman. I'm blessed with having many friends. I am gregarious and enjoy meeting new people. I would enjoy meeting a a gentle, caring, honest man. I would like someone who is open to sharing their feelings and is not a jealous person. A good sense of humor is very important. I love to laugh, it is so cathartic. A family oriented person is a big plus. I would like to gain a best friend, one I can share and have him share with me. Where this relationship leads is open.
Meet someone special from United States. I am presently working full-time and looking forward to some new adventures when I retire in a year or two.
My friends say I am a very good listener. I think partly because in a group situation everyone talks at once and I am the only one that is quietly listening. I seem to choose friends with personalities and backgrounds different than my own. I am gentle, feminine and soft-spoken and basically I am a happy person. I have very strong ties to my family and friends. I always learn something new from everyone I meet.
I am looking for someone I can be a partner with, who is kind, polite, affectionate, self-reliant, even-tempered, possesses a sense of humor and is accepting of me for who I am today. Most important, someone who can be my best friend and is a balance to and for me such that together we make one good "whole person."
