I love to garden, cook, snuggle with my cats, read well-written mysteries, and watch movies at the theatre or Netflix. I love being in nature.
I've been in the Placerville area since January 2011 (6 yrs in Mississippi before that, 13 yrs in Santa Rosa before that, 25 yrs in SF before that). I grew up in the San Joaquin Valley, went to college at SF State. I have a terrific family -- 4 younger brothers, 4 nephews, and a niece. My parents just passed in 2011 and 2012. I've been married twice -- when I was 21 (divorced after 5 yrs) and when I was 37 (widowed 3 months later). I've been in a few longish term relationships, and I'm not seeing anyone right now.
I was a hang glider pilot in my late 20's, early 30's. Lots of fun -- risk with responsibility. We started the sport in Northern California, wrote the regs so the FAA would leave us alone and so we'd be safe, got the sites, had a blast for many years. I imported folk art from Mexico and Guatemala for several years. I learned to Scuba when I turned 40. I've been to several places in Caribbean, Mexico, Hawaii. Love it, but haven't gone in awhile and should take a refresher course before I do.
I'm a stained glass artist, photographer, and potter. When I was in Mississippi, I joined the art association and exhibited my work for the first time... and actually won ribbons and sold pieces. I haven't created much art since I've been back in California except for a little photography.
It would be nice to share part of my life with someone but I'm not sure if I want anything more than a friendship or a "going steady" kind of thing, but who knows?
