Born in Washington and a graduate of the University of Washington, I have pursued both education and a passion for the arts. I have performed for years in musical theater productions, and my favorites pursuits are film festivals, live performances and performing on stage. Moving on to Colorado, I spent several years as a teacher, professional development specialist, trainer, keynoter and instructor, with a focus on encouraging students to pursue their academic and artistic passions.
I love to cook, enjoy casual dinner parties, spend time with valued friends and I am devoted to my 94 year old father and my two terrific children - one in New York and one in San Francisco. I'm a voracious reader, an eager traveller and am committed to the gym, a good walk and some personal challenges. I was proud of my completion of the Pikes Peak Ascent and two mini-triathlons after 56......a result of saying "yes" to a crazy challenge.
I've spent many years serving my community in numerous ways and through a wide range of projects, with my primary commitment to bettering the lives of women and children. Service to others provides me with a sense of gratitude for life's blessings.
As I continue to focus on a new pursuit of golf, it seems appropriate to share that I look forward to the "back 9" of life with an authentic, genuine and happy person. Each day I pursue being a clear, open and transparent person who looks at each day as a new opportunity to grow.
