Date a soulmate from California, United States. I usually love writing, but this is tough. We live in a wonderful part of California and I think it would be more fun to enjoy it with someone who felt the same way. Ideally that person would be generally happy and open and without a dark side. I love my jobs - both are part time so I'm not looking for worldwide travel adventures but day trips and shorter adventures are definitely good.
Meet someone special from California, United States. I am a classic late-bloomer and feel I am ready to restart my life. While I have stayed active and successful in my career, I have not taken the steps to find someone to share my life these recent years, until now.
Who Am I? I am an independent and self-reliant, but know that I become despondent when I spend too much time alone. As an extrovert, I love being out and around people.
What makes me feel content and satisfied is learning something new: I am forever reading and investigating new ideas. I am excited about new possibilities and discovering new places to explore, whether in my neighborhood or in the world.
What I am absolutely passionate about is education reform. Public schools, especially urban schools, do not provide the opportunities for achievement as the schools I attended (many years ago). I love exploring the new visions for schools such as bringing 21st century skills into the classrooms. I am clear about my vision for high schools to become vibrant places for all students to succeed. Thus, I am grateful for the opportunities to work with some schools in Oakland to support principals and teachers to improve the educational experience for youth.
Another long-term passion is the astrological world. I am a practicing astrologer and intuitive counselor who sees the world through the archetypal lens that Carl Jung described in his work. Since my childhood and throughout my life, I have had experiences that reinforced a knowledge of the multi-dimensional world that is our world, our universe. I have studied metaphysics and believe in a set of universal principles. You might say that I subscribe to the "New Thought" movement. This belief system drives my thinking and my actions.
A good match for me is someone who wants an equal exchange in a relationship. I cannot abide with someone who has to be the authority and lectures or "preaches" non-stop. I love someone who is inquisitive and who is naturally bright and creative.
People that I love to be around and are descriptive of my close friends are artistic, musical, creative, and even spiritual or philosophical. I love deeply soulful relationships, not superficial and artificial connections. Therefore, my friendships are few, but are sacred to me.
These thoughts and opinions I have shared are not all inclusive nor are they the only things that describe or explain who I am. But, it is a start. Thank you for reading this!
