Meet someone special from California, United States. Dating online is a brand new, not so comfortable, world for me. Trying to describe who I really am in a paragraph is daunting, but here goes. I am a cute and spunky, smart and warm "young" Jewess, who looks and acts at least 10 yrs younger than I am. I've been "on my own" for quite a while now, so I am secure in knowing that I want someone in my life, rather than needing them. Since my divorce, I've been busy creating and enjoying a new and fulfilling career for myself as a psychotherapist. I loved going back to school (even went to a “dream seminar” on the the Island of Kaui, where we re-enacted and studied our dreams in the morning, snorkeled during the day, and went to Reggae Clubs at night!). After earning my Master's Degree, I was lucky enough to serendipitously find myself working in a place that is really like a big kibbutz, a place that actually became home and family for me. I always wanted children but never had them, and became a therapist who, without conscious intention, works with kids! What could have turned out better about that? I also have a very small private practice that I really love, with grown-ups, that adds a little variety and richness to my work. So now that I have accomplished all of this on my own, it just feels like the right time to find love again with someone who will be my best friend and share and explore life with me. I really value a great sense of dry humor and wit, and intelligence and integrity go a long way with me. I love to take in a gorgeous Southern California day and I love a rainy day. I really enjoy museum exhibits (especially the Impressionists), and have fun stopping at yard sales, going to movies, restaurants and all my favorite haunts. I would love to do some more traveling (road trips in the U.S. and Europe, weekends away, going back to Italy and maybe even doing a safari). There are so many things I look forward to doing, but I really want to share them with someone special. I would love to meet my best friend - someone who is really able to be fully present and supportive of the agonies & the ecstasies that life is sure to unfold. Someone who is rich in character and depth, intellect & integrity, kindness, warmth & caring. And, oh yes, a dry sense of humor goes a long way... So, as Freud (or was it Jung) would say, it is important to find balance in the 3 aspects of one’s life...work, play and love. I think I have the first 2 down, but now it’s time for love!!!
