I love to read, want to learn more about the world around me, and enjoy great conversation. There are rumors that I have much of the 80s captured on a 45 rpm record collection. I'm a huge baseball fan and am described by my friends as obsessed with college football, but would never (well, OK, hardly ever) pick either over a hike in the foothills. I'm generally up for just about anything, whether dressing up for a night on the town or some of Denver's fantastic mom-and-pop Mexican restaurants. For quieter times, I'm pretty handy in the kitchen and think an amazing evening is good company, a delicious bottle of wine, and trying a new recipe. And if the recipe is no good? There’s always dessert and the rest of the wine.

I've never tried meeting people over the Internet but I figure I'll try it for a month because it might be a better way to meet interesting people than my current approach of driving to and from work, the gym, and the grocery store. Now that I've described my jet-set life, I'll tell you a little about myself, beginning with the negatives. My bad points are... this isn't being timed is it... I'm racking my brain here... OK, I'll start with my good points: I'm down-to-earth, honest, secure, and intelligent. Of course, I was being facetious about my bad points. I have them just like everybody else. I try hard to be introspective and to recognize them and I would say that one of things I want in a friend is someone who is honest with me. I'd rather be told things I don't want to hear by someone I trust than things I want to hear from someone I can't. I would like to meet that perfect someone, but that perfect someone for me is not a perfect person, but only someone who's kind, caring, honest, and decent— someone who is happy enough in their own life to treat those around them kindly. I really enjoy skiing powder but tore my hamstring awhile back so I haven't gotten back into it yet. When I was younger I was a ski bum for 10 seasons and would ski about 100 days a year. I was pretty spoiled when it came to powder days.
