Meet a man from United States. I have come across a number of profiles where individuals are seeking only those who are "about average" or "athletic & toned." This is somewhat perplexing because many of these same profiles talk about how they're open to finding true love, etc., yet evidently true love comes in a specific package. I am NOT perfect by any means, but I do have depth of character and I am genuinely a sincere and compassionate person. In the same respect, I am 100% unique because I am me - I don't fit any molds or conform to any norms that others may think that their soulmate should fit into. I admit, there are women I am attracted to based on their appearance, but in terms of basic attraction, either I am attracted to facial features and the eyes or I'm not. If I observe a woman who has facial features that are appealing, then obviously I am curious about the next part, which is representative of their characteristics, persona, etc., and measuring if we have a chemistry. In terms of bodies, yes, I have a certain figure that I am consistently attracted to, but I am also not going to hold this as a standard that I must have. Seems silly to try and find someone who fits a physical mold when it is their heart that will remain constant all of the days of our lives.
Okay, I'll step down from my soap-box...
I have a very eclectic background which included a very adventurous side. However, where I am at today is a result of being a little too much of an adrenaline junky. For example, I used to be a bodybuilder but had to quit when I herniated a disc. However, subsequent to this injury I learned from my neurosurgeon that my back was actually a mess to begin with. Seems a parachuting accident while I was in the Army started an irreversible chain-of-events. Nevertheless, with one disc blown, another torn and two compressed, I pressed on - this included working as a volunteer firefighter. However, I had to retire a few years ago after approx. 5 years of service due to herniating a second disc. Ironically, this did not occur while firefighting but rather while I was attempting to detain an offender who was resisting arrest (I was a probation & parole officer for nearly 11 years). Long story short, I can still SCUBA dive but really need a dive buddy! ;o)
