I enjoy working out, being fit is important to me. I ride and run a few times a week, also work out with weights – more so in the cooler months than in the summer. I love sports, grew up playing most of them, played basketball in college. I also enjoy watching most major sporting events - I have an appreciation for anyone at the top of their field.
A charcoal grill and smoker are my domain on summer weekends. Cooking and eating have become more desirable the older I get….not the best combination. Just means I have to work out harder! Speaking of food, gardening is also a hobby. You gotta have home-grown jalapenos for poppers. Life is too short for watered down beer, Guiness or Newcastle is a must. A day without a good cup of coffee is unthinkable.
I am intense, don't know how to do anything half-speed. Why hike up a hill when you could try to run up it. I don't sleep much, not that I don't like to. Sensitive? Yes, which helps when playing both parental roles. I like to laugh at goofy stuff, I have a dry sense of humor. I'm very comfortable one on one but don't care for large crowds. People most often describe me as genuine, trustworthy, fair, honest. I speak my mind without hesitation. No problems recognizing and admitting my own weaknesses and faults, would be refreshing to meet someone else who can do the same.
If you're looking for someone to sweep you off your feet, making a grand first impression, scratch me off the list. I have substance, the more you get to know me the more you'll like me.

I thrive in the mountains, rivers, streams and open spaces ? a long dusty road, surrounded by mountains, the hot Colorado sun heating up the air, all while as far as you can see; no one...it's all yours! I love road trips, especially in the summer. I also enjoy the city life, downtown, running the fountain creek trail through Monument Valley Park and then having Phantom Canyon around the corner. (I love the Ocean too by the way)

I'm usually pretty jocular and my sense-of-humor can range from silly to dry, depending on the day. I'm kind of a dork and I'm OK with that.
By my nature I don't have a lot of down time. My work days (including commute) are usually about 12 hours and I also go to the gym 3x/week. I eat well and tend to stay active. EXAMPLE: at 4am 3x/week you'll find me on my treadmill. I just don't sit still a lot and would love to get out and enjoy nature a lot more than I currently do.
I love going to the movies, eating out - Mexican and Asian (Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Thai) are my faves , hiking, camping, swimming, watching TV, baseball, exploring, playing with my dog and anything that involves playing in the sunshine. Love going to see live music and I enjoy everything from metal to jazz to British pop.
I'm very good at cutting avocados, love IOS auto-correct ("nonaligned" for "Bobali", really?), enjoy waking up to the radio even if it means having a song I hate stuck in my head for the day, and stop to watch almost any bug, critter, tree, rock I see.
