Meet single man from California, United States. The good bits: I am intelligent, honest, super loyal, and if you catch me at the right moment, (wickedly) funny. Ambitious, hard working (but shy of --aholism) and have been successful in my profession. I have wide-ranging interests in books, films, the arts, athletic pursuits, architecture, fashion ... . I run the gamut from blasting down trails on a mountain bike to complete bewilderment at the genius of a great aphorist. I am physically fit and active, but not nutty about it. I try to be devoted and supportive. Of course, I have plenty of lousy qualities too ... but this seems like the wrong forum for confessions. OK, maybe one, small one--I appear to stand alone on this site in that I have visited enough hotels in enough different cities in enough different countries that I now love to be home, in these beautiful surroundings. I do travel often, usually to great cities, and I do love tropical islands. However, I'm also perfectly content to adventure in our local wonderland with its stunning, jaw-dropping beauty.
I love my work. I have one of the best jobs in the world and I am grateful every day for the intellectual stimulation it provides and the freedom it offers and the exceptional people it serves as the platform to meet.
Speaking of the subject of meeting people .... What sort of person would I be thrilled to find? Not that I need to go 7 for 7 on these attributes, but I very much appreciate the company of intelligent, interesting, thoughtful, funny, accomplished, loyal and vivacious people. I would love to meet someone who is content with the choices she has made to this point in her life. Laughter is vital. I can't imagine life without it, so I particularly admire people who can generate humor, whether via quick wit, silliness, snark, irreverence, goof, dry, wet, ... I appreciate a good laugh in all stripes and sizes.

I come fully house trained (put the lid down, usually at least), rarely bark, never bite, have had all my shots (yet was fortunately spared being neutered, even though once married) and smell good, usually at least. I do need to be let outside off the leash to run and play outside, but I'm well behaved indoors and around children.
