As a California native, I spent most weekends growing up here either at the beach surfing, the lake boating, or the mountains snow skiing. We really are lucky to live here with all the things that we can do throughout the year. Where else can you snow ski in the mountains in the morning, water-ski at the lake midday, and then surf that evening? It's a pretty amazing place!
I've had some great experiences in my life and have a lot to share. I have made some great friends over the years and have taken some amazing trips. I love to travel both domestic and internationally and have worked in several different countries abroad.
I love spending time outdoors as you might have guessed. I enjoy camping, hiking, riding horses, biking, and fishing to name a few favorites. My favorite sports to play are baseball, tennis, racquet ball, skiing, soccer, and riding bikes. On the occasional weekend you will find me riding dirt or street bikes locally; it's something I’ve done since I was a teenager.
And I can be handy around the house, so let me build something for you. I also enjoy gardening and landscaping I’m just not sure that all my plants would agree. :)
Even though I am very active; I do enjoy some down time just to relax and take it easy; such as having a good glass of wine in front of a fireplace at home or camping. here some other things I live by: it's none of my business what others think of me; i'm not responsible for what you feel; i take full responsibility for what I feel and think; anger, petty resentments, grudges and gossip are pure poison to the soul; if you are dependent on something external to make you happy-you're not free and surely something external will then make you 'unhappy; doing what's right is more important than "doing what makes feel good"; integrity is it's own reward; relationships are not an 'end' in themselves (can't you see that's why there is so much 'hell' in marriage and relationships? people are trying to fill some emptiness in themselves by extracting it from someone else..it never works for long); I understand that contentment is a by product of doing what is right; deep interpersonal relationships take deep interpersonal work per each person- this seems so obvious to me and yet people rarely go beneath the surface of their lives; i'm more in love with the 'process' than the 'outcome' of any endeavor, thus there is little expectation put on people, places or things to make me anything; I don't 'go alone to get along'; I have a voice and use it often, authenticity rocks! ; be willing to be corrected or wrong so that I may learn; I love being a perpetual student of life and that makes me a great teacher as well; work with the willing and let the rest fall to the way side; appreciate everything "good or bad'; treat everyone equally and look people in the eye; be sincere letting my 'yes' be 'yes' and my 'no' be 'no' (that way you know i'm not saying something just to appease you); I don't worship mere humans or put anyone on a pedestal-including beautiful dynamic women! (there are enough weak willed men wanting you're approval ladies for that), I believe in civil graces like 'hello', "excuse me sir", "may I help you" and opening doors for anyone and being generally helpful in public, I understand time is our most valuable commodity and that we should be growing up not just old; forgiveness is essential as well as patient endurance in all things; I believe we've lost what true masculinity represents: strength, honor, leadership, virtue, self sacrifice, greater purpose, love of god and higher ideals - for which I endeavor in all things...
I know this is a major turn off for most women that want someone to make them feel good, go traveling and treat them like a spoiled princess..to me that's pretty vapid way of living...i'd like to think that there are women out there that have something of substance to contribute to a relationship of any kind, seeking growth and purpose with a man of like mind and spirit - maybe? ha! :)
