Date single man from Monrovia, United States. Yes, I'm a hopeless romantic, but (cue sad violin music) I'm been unlucky in love (so far!). Hence, I find myself on Match.com.
Nevertheless, I've been lucky in all other aspects of life and am thankful everyday for what I have: good health (according to my doctor), great family, good friends, good health, good job, and nice home. But no one special to share with! Ah, the horror, the horror.
I'm hoping to find someone with whom I can make the oft-discussed "connection." Someone who can make you feel better just by being close to them, or who knows you so well they can finish your sentences. However, I'm not looking for a woman who needs to be attached at the hip to a man in order to feel good about herself; I'm very independent and hope you're the same.
How do I describe myself? Things that come readily to mind are: quiet (most of the time), honest, responsible, funny (so I'm told), reasonably well-spoken and, of course, humble :)
I'm looking for a woman who is kind, gentle, playful, and will laugh at my one-liners and puns. It is very important to me that my "special someone" be intelligent, polite, and able to hold a decent conversation. However, if you're a little wacky (I can be), that's OK.
Other things you should know:
* I'm a pretty simple (but not simple-minded!) guy and I find joy in simple things.
* I can cook (more or less), clean, and fix things around the house (but no remodeling!).
* I'm not really into sports, either playing or watching, but I do like riding my bike. If I had to choose one sport over all others it would probably be baseball; it is our national pastime after all!
* But I'm not a couch potato! I don't have cable, don't play video games, and find myself watching less and less TV.
* I travel a little, but would like to do more, and it's more fun with someone else along for the ride, flight, cruise, etc.
* I like stopping at "off-the-beaten path" places and if its kitschy, so much the better!
* I have a very strong sense of self; that is, I know who I am, but am always trying to improve!
* I dress for the occasion - jeans and t-shirt at home, business casual for work, suit and tie when necessary (weddings, funerals, etc.).
* I am very family oriented and want to be a dad, so I'm hoping you want to be a mom.
If you find any of the above striking a chord, then perhaps we should chat. If not, and I've sent you an email, I would appreciate it if you would please check the "no thanks" reply option; I like the sense of finality rather than being left wondering.
Thanks for reading!
