My purpose for living life in this human body is to help the world be a better place for me having been in it. That starts first with me being a good dad to my two boys. It expands to being a devoted partner to the woman who loves me. From there I reach out to others.
I've traveled fairly extensively (Europe, Asia, the Middle East, the Carribean) and spent a good portion of my life living overseas--both as a kid and an adult. This has given me a deep appreciation for personal and cultural diversity. We all share common DNA. There is no reason to have war, bloodshed and violence in the human family. It is possible for us to rise above it. I intend my life to contribute to that purpose.
On the personal front, I eat well, stay healthy and exercise a lot. I play basketball three times a week at 5:30 a.m. OK, that probably sounds pretty hard core, but it's a great way to start the day! Because I take care of myself, people tell me I look a lot younger than my age.
I don't need (or want) perfection, but I want someone who is in tune enough with their issues to understand them, and intentional enough to be working on them (like I am with mine). If we know and understand our own issues and the issues of our partner, there's no reason we can't journey together towards wholeness, happiness and fulfillment.
On the lighter side, I love dogs (though I don't currently own one), four-wheeling, wood working, gaming, basketball, racquetball and music. I play the guitar and mandolin, I sing and write my own music. My musical tastes are pretty eclectic--I like everything from Classical to Trance with pop, country, jazz and rock in between.
