The reason you haven't met me yet is because I have just moved back to the Bay Area after 10 years of living overseas - the past year in England and a little more than 9 years in Japan prior to that.
I am a divorced father of three, having my two oldest sons (16 & 14 y/o) living with me and my 11 y/o daughter living in Japan with her mother, for the time being. I've just left a very large international financial information company after six and a half years - while I enjoyed my time there I realized that I am not a big company kind of guy, but rather enjoy smaller, more nimble companies (part of the reason I've returned to the Bay Area). Also grew tired of spending 20-25 days a month on the road - although it allowed me to visit a number of places across Asia.
I love to laugh. Often. And loudly. Often laugh at myself. Consider myself very romantic. Love to hold hands. Not afraid of PDAs. Rather enjoy them actually. Enjoy cuddling on the couch. Prefer a night in to a night out, but that doesn't mean I want to be a hermit. Love (LOVE!) live music, the theater, museums and the like. Enjoy comedies whether they be movies or tv (Community and Happy Endings have been on my 'don't miss' list for a while). Consider myself an avid classic movie fan - Casablanca, The Thin Man, most any Hitchcock film or anything with Cary Grant.
Why am I here? I guess its because I am looking for someone who knows what she wants from life. I'm way past the 'game playing' stage of life. Not interested in the bar scene or those with a short term outlook. Looking for a relationship that has depth and character to it. Absolutely willing to put in the time and effort if my counterpart is. Want someone who understands that time is a precious resource and needs to be treated as such. Carefully screening those who ask it from you but then sharing it abundantly and without hesitation with that special person when you do find them. Must be completely honest, painfully honest. Like others, I've had my share of broken hearts...but I refuse to live life hurt & afraid. You get out of life what you put into it...that includes relationships.
