Date a soulmate from California, United States. I arrived in the Bay Area in '95 (originally from the East Coast), and it has felt like home ever since. I love to be active in the great outdoors -- I made a point of going mountain biking every new year's day for the first several years I was out here just because I could (no snow). A truly religious experience for me is riding singletrack through the redwoods on a beautiful day.... I was a swimmer growing up but burned out after high school (and not good enough for the college team), have always liked biking and running, so the next logical step was triathlons, which I've been doing the last few years.
Other tidbits about me:
- Enjoy a wide variety of music -- have everything from classic jazz, to reggae, to rock, to rap in my music collection (although now I mostly use sonos w/rhapsody at home, can't get enough of that..) -- and love going to live music shows.
- Other people typically appreciate my sense of humor, which has been known to veer toward the sarcastic...
- Enjoy watching basketball, baseball, and football
- Skiing powder through the trees is another religious experience for me.
- Enjoy all kinds of movies. Love to laugh -- it's remarkable what effect a good laugh can have.
- Don't watch much TV, when I do it's usually either sports or the Daily Show
- Not at all religious
- Love to read, both fiction and non-fiction. Would like to spend more time doing it. I read the news on line.
- When I'm working on something interesting I work hard; when I'm not that busy I prefer to work out and play
- I like to drink whiskey in the winter (scotch or bourbon), and margaritas in the summer (rocks, no salt, plenty of fresh-squeezed lime juice :)
Looking for like-minded souls who have a good sense of humor (and are able to be self-deprecating), are intellectually curious, are confident, enjoy being active, have good energy, are playful, and who like to get the most out of life. Not necessarily looking immediately for commitment, but open to the possibility. If any of this sounds interesting drop me a line.
