Date a man from United States. I am youthful in spirit and in looks and I truly have a positive attitude about life; the glass is always at least half full. I enjoy great conversation, wonderful food and a nice bottle of wine and I am comfortable with a romantic dinner or a gathering with friends. I travel as often as I can and I love exploring new places and cultures. My weekends are filled with walks on the Strand, hikes, visits to the farmer's market, soccer games, camping, long dinners and seeing friends and family. I have been told I have charisma and a great sense of humor, and one of my best physical qualities is my smile. I am physically active and I take care of myself through running, biking, swimming and a little bit of yoga. A healthy lifestyle is important to me and I hope to find someone that shares that philosophy. Oh, and I love to go out and have fun, dance, drink, sing, etc. (at least every once in a while).
I am simply looking for someone to share life's experiences with. Someone who is curious about what is around the corner and sometimes willing to step outside the path. I am looking for someone who has confidence and self purpose and who takes care of herself and someone who is as comfortable in a t-shirt and baseball cap as she is in a dress. Finally, I am looking for someone who sees the good in most things, can laugh at herself, at me and has a great sense of humor.
Meet someone special from United States. Take it easy, take it light.
Open-mindedness and generosity of time and spirit impress me greatly.
While I work in a demanding, intellectual field - my work definitely does not define me.... I'm a drummer (play with friends I've had since high school -- most of the music we play is that old too, but it's rock, and always will be....), and was a semi-professional athlete for a while....
Sounds cliche, but the Beatles had it right, "All you need is love".
Date single man from United States. My sense of humor has been described as either quirky or dark, depending upon your perspective (a bit like Woody Allen, without the odd family entanglements). I definitely enjoy finding humor in most things.
I spend a great deal of time outdoors--hiking, mountain biking, skiing, biking, and running, etc.--but I also enjoy movies (particularly old ones), sushi, concerts, and the occasional museum. I recently stopped taking Krav Maga (self-defense) classes after about 5 years. In 2010, I added one-on-one boxing lessons (basically, I was beaten up once a week). In 2011, I added standup paddle boarding and got back into rock climbing, which I had stopped for several years.
I ran in my first ultramarathon (Jan 2012), completing 53 miles in about 17 hours. Once the pain abates, I will be back with other running exploits.
I purchased a home in Big Bear in April 2010, so I am now spending even more time in the mountains (I spend about 80% of my time in Hermosa Beach). My most recent overseas travel was to Greece, Central Europe, and Paris. I also traveled to Florida to watch the Space Shuttle launch from the waters off of Cape Canaveral. Unfortunately, the shuttle did not launch, to my chagrin. My 2011 trip was to Vancouver Island in British Columbia, where I was hiking and eating oysters for a couple of weeks. For 2012, I traveled to the Big Island, Hawaii, and I am going to Toronto in June.
At any point, I will usually be reading 5 or 6 books--everything from British naval history to mystery novels. It takes a while to get through a book this way, but I always have something that fits my mood.
I am looking for an intelligent, thoughtful woman who loves to laugh. Bonus points if you like to spend your days outside and evenings doing something quiet (I am not a bar-scene kind of guy).
For work, I manage my own money and my family's. It is fun, sometimes frustrating, and usually fulfilling (don't get me started about 2008). I decided to leave the corporate world and go out on my own in order to better fulfill some ideas that I have about how money and free time should be balanced. So far, it has worked out great.
Meet a soulmate from United States. I find describing myself a tad embarrassing. But here we go. I have a great (dark) sense of humor, I've been through and seen alot of the good and bad this life has to offer and have learned from it all. Music is my gift and getting better every year is my way of moving forward. Also by self educating I move forward.
I'm not sure a "perfect" match is realistic but when you click with somone and they're all you can think about that's perfect enough for me.
