Meet single man from United States. i moved to colorado in 1999 from albuquerque where i lived 13 years. most of my life was spent moving from city to city and even overseas (guatemala, ecuador), being the child of a petroleum geologist. i love the four corners area and wanted to spend my life exploring and living here. in 2002 i bought my little home in the forest and fell in love with the place. mountains, rivers and forests feed my soul. and music! music is very important to me and i have been known to perform on my drums with my band from time to time. i have volunteered for and attended every four corner's folk festival and all the others on the hill since living here. the first 5 years i lived in colorado i drove trucks for the local lumber yards during the construction boom and eventually made the transition to building contractor 7 years ago. it can be a struggle, but i have survived the slump and am looking forward to living here for the rest of my days. the only thing is i would really love to be with someone to cherish and share the joys and challenges of life. i have great friends here, but they are all married and i don't know many single people my age. i'm not into the bar scene and i'm pretty shy and quiet. while i occasionally act childish and am sometimes immature, i strive very hard to never be both at the same time!....i am attracted to all sorts of women, but mostly i enjoy a good personality. intelligence and humor are very important to me. i want a woman who is my best friend, who i can be myself around, someone who i can't wait to spend time with, who wants to travel and explore new things, an equal partner. of course it takes time to develop and nurture a caring relationship, but that is ultimately what i would like.
