While in Europe over the holidays, I found having the world at my feet was a good time to ponder this "second act" of my life. Staying physically healthy is important to me, and I hope it's important to you as well. While I love to dress up, you will usually find me in my jeans, but I will most likely also be wearing a pretty scarf. Taking care of myself has allowed me to enjoy walking all over the cities I visited. I regularly take yoga and Pilates and try to get in belly dancing classes as often as possible. One of the best parts of my day is spending time with my Westie, Emma. So far she only has two coats (which has taken great restraint on my part!) I do hope you have a good throwing arm as Emma requires at least 30 minutes of fetch in the evening and I could use a willing partner as we combine playing with Emma while sharing a good glass of wine. Emma has me well trained!
I love the sunshine, warm weather, the beach, and in general, living in SOCAL. I was reminded during my winter adventure in Europe, just how important the sun is to me. I hadn't forgotten the fact of the cold, but the opportunity arose, I dressed warmly, and had a terrific time!
I must say, that Paris in the spring or fall is magical and I would love to return with a partner who is playful and free spirited. Someone who will tolerate my attempt at French songs as we walk along the Seine, and wander the streets amd alleys, and sip our coffee or wine at a little sidewalk cafe. I love French and take lessions, though I am far from fluent.
While I love to travel, I enjoy being at home as well. I recently sold my home in Porter Ranch and purchased a craftsman in Pasadena. I am ready for that second act! While out and about I enjoy poking in shops, bookstores, going out to lunch, going to the threatre or a musuem. I relax at home by eating a simple meal, reading, listening to music, practicing French, or turning on the TV...all under Emma's watchful eye. I'd love to find someone to share these activities with...well, the French isn't necessary! You just need to tolerate my pursuit!
