Date someone special from Pasadena, United States. Perfection is subjective. So with that said, hereРІР‚в„ўs a bit more about me-I'm NOT a Barbie doll fellas,-nor am I searching for Ken. I choose HAPPINESS over perfection, AUTHENTICITY over pretense, LAUGHTER and JOY over drama and chance the intimacy of butterflies rushing my heart than having never opened the door. I am who I say I am and my photos are current. The gents in the photos are my dance partners except for the photo with my son and surrogate sons!
So, before you continue reading, there are a few pre-reqs I've garnered from the world of internet dating:
1)Photos tell a story,- a glimpse of ones character. So if you're hiding (no photo), chances are I may not respond. 2) Current photos are a must- and they must be of YOU! 3) PLEASE know WHO it is you're engaging in communication? 4) if you're my son's age (30's) or my father's, I'm flattered but I'm NOT your gal! 5) Last but not least, If your girth is broader than your shoulders "athletic and toned" does not apply. So PLEASE be sincere.
If you're still on this page, then you must have a good sense of humor and/or just curious! Either way, here's a little glimpse into my character, who I am and what I'm looking for in a relationship:
I do live a very blessed life. Having spent the first 23 years of my career in the apparel industry as a Fashion Designer/Merchandiser for fortune 500 companies and as an entrepreneur, Closed my business 10 yrs ago.
Love adventure, but not necessarily a daredevil. I took up rock climbing to overcome my fear of heights, learned to scuba because I was claustrophobic. Life is a gift and certainly worth celebrating. For me, paying it forward is what defines gratitude - celebrating the lives of those whose love, courage and indomitable spirit have inspired me beyond words. This celebration has taken me on some incredible journeys from the AIDS ride SF 2 LA, MS and Cancer rides to Skid Row and various philanthropic events/organizations. I've competed in Ballroom Dance, Tango'd in Argentina and hiked to the base of Mt Fitz Roy in S. Patagonia, communed with the penguins in Ushuai, traveled throughout Italy,Switzerland, Spain, France,Tahiti Love to travel sink into the culture and experience places from a different perspective.
My bucket list is never empty...is yours?
Love my family, treasure my friendships and my canine companions. I have been widowed 8 yrs and am blessed to have had that “soul mate” experience and the continued expansion of that love through family and friends. I truly believe that lightning strikes more than once on this journey called life. I’m looking for that special someone...my friend, lover and confidant to share the rest of the journey - wherever it may take us.
You are spontaneous, adventurous and still curious about life and all it has to offer. Someone who lives from the heart, makes time for me/us, who can relish the down-time, romantic dinners (whether at 5 star restaurants, little hidden treasures or home)Love snuggling by the fireplace on a rainy day watching great classic movies, relish walks on the beach, magnificent sunsets/sunrises, holding hands, massages and yes-kisses that make time stand still.
Honesty, integrity, humor and humility, compassion and kindness are virtues of authenticity that define the man who will take my breath away.
Life is a dance. It's not choreographed, it's not about the right or wrong steps, it's about the connection and the desire to learn along the way and willingness to let it happen...
If what I've shared resonates with you,...say hello!
Meet a soulmate from Pasadena, United States. I'm a free spirit who tries to live every day as if were my last. I'm a real person who lives a real everyday life and won't try to pretend to be anything other than who I am so don't read any further if you are looking for a person who is portraying something that they are not, no pretenses here, what you see is what you get. I'm honest to a fault and will give you my opinion if asked but I don't try to force my ideas upon others. I enjoy a good debate, I find it interesting to see what other people’s opinions are on all subjects and why. My Grandmother always told me that one day my curiosity would one day get me into trouble but so far I've been lucky. I'm originally from the South, sorry no drawl, and am a mixture of all the things that you would think Southerners are without the cheesiness; I can be flamboyant as well as calm and soft spoken. I love people and new experiences; striking up a conversation with the person sitting next to me or in line behind me is not an uncommon thing for me. I don't judge people or situations, no one knows what someone has lived through or is going through until you've walk a mile in their shoes. Did I mention that I was down to earth? Gardening is something that I love to do, there is nothing like a really good tomato that you have picked 10 minutes ago or fresh home grown herbs to flavor your food. The kitchen is my happy place; I’ve been told the love that I pour into what I cook can be tasted in every bite. I read voraciously and do the LA Times crossword every day. Good grief, this sounds very dry but I promise I am anything but that. I love to laugh, can laugh about myself and often do, I love to play in the rain and splash in the mud puddles, technology is wonderful and dictionary.com is a life saver, my music is all over the board and I will listen to anything with the blues being my favorite, I’m not a huge chocolate fan but there are monent when only dark chocolate will do. I love a good dirty martini, a nice oakey chardonay, a really rich old vine zin, mmmmm, My motto is “I’ll try anything once, if I don’t like it I don’t have to do it again,” I can get quite wordy sometimes when writing and/or texting but find that communication is an important part of life, I love hugs with meaning and sly smiles with a wink, I like anything sensuous such as smells, taste, touch…just a few of the things that make me who I am.
Date a woman from Pasadena, United States. My friends would describe me as funny, easy going.
I am greatful for my friends, and a wonderful career working as an oncology nurse.
I am hoping to attract a person who can truely appreciate life and the important things it has to offer.
As a nurse odd things make me laugh. We have a unique sense of humor. I'll tell you later.
In a relationship i'm looking for a friend first. I am not in a rush so it is important that the person is willing to take time to get to know me.
I am most passionate about are affairs of the heart that concern family, friends, things that can only be measured with passions of the heart.
Meet someone special from California, United States. Challenging to write my story in just a few short lines, but most refer to me as a uniquely interesting, caring, diverse and well-traveled professional. Curious and conscientious, extroverted and adventurous, I have one of those amazing stories that is screenplay worthy, with grown sons that make me proud -- that have given me great moments. I have a distinctive voice, good sense of humor (I can laugh at myself), compassionate, articulate and have a good sense of direction (that traveling thing). We're all unique in our own special way -- guess that's where the dance of discovery comes in. I'm a creative sort and currently working on some extraordinary projects.
Ask me what I'm Looking For?" Well, of course -- tall, dark, handsome, rich, intelligent, funny, compassionate, sincere, honest, caring ---- okay, maybe not all these qualities, but at least two (a bit of my humor, except the "two"). More simply, someone who reaches for my hand and I feel completely secure -- someone who makes it easy. Communication is best served through gentleness, insight, patience and experience -- understanding a woman's need for expression. Attracted to those who possess "real strengths of a man" and not just the gestures to get them over. I have a fondness for kids, seniors, animals and nature's majestic surroundings -- we often forget to take notice in this technology age. One caveat, I will not respond without a picture -- no need to hide from the very start. Besides, we're visual first and foremost and a picture may have a thousand words, but the canvas cannot be blank.
