Date a soulmate from California, United States. I am funny, smart and quick witted, not dumb witted now.....I love my kids and dogs, not necessarily in that order on certain days. I still enjoy practicing law part time. I still find it challenging. I enjoy all kinds of sports, to watch and do. I coach girls' high school soccer and I love it. I take ballet and jazz classes with a bunch of great moms and we perform every June. It is a blast and, as we say, cheaper then therapy.
I enjoy going to movies that make me laugh. I enjoy attending all kinds of sporting events, going to happy hours to socialize with friends and or to watch sporting events. Due to my profession I have done a lot of legal "reading" but enjoy "who dunnit" novels and "how to" books and the LA Times, People Magazine. I "clean up real nice" and am comfortable in any social setting of any type be it a philanthropic fund raising event or a sports bar night.
I am most proud of my three kids, 21, 19 and 17 and the job we have accomplished together these last eight years. I am proud of where they are in their young lives and the fact they are flying the nest (though I must admit it is a change for the mother hen yet a welcomed one).
I am hoping to meet a man who knows himself and what he wants, hopefully to get together with a gal like me. Though I am financially secure and do not need to be taken care of I would enjoy having my door opened, given flowers and my hand held. I would like to connect with an active man and yet one who would be ok with sitting at home on the couch with my legs over his watching TV or listening to music while reading the paper.
Meet someone special from California, United States. The rolling hills of Palos Verdes were undeveloped and carpeted with wheat, mustard flower and lupine. In my childhood years, this was my playground. My back yard was a strip of fresh, sweet fescue laid out like an eternity pool which overlooked the vastness of the South Bay and the Pacific ocean -- a view which reached from Malibu to Newport, and at night twinkled with a million tiny diamonds. I took that view for granted in my early years. It was what I knew -- it was my everyday.
Marriage transplanted me to Pasadena where I learned to appreciate a mountain view, almost if not more than the city view I had loved, but in a different way -- a quiet, solid presence which revealed a transient and stunning “pink moment” depicted in so many California plein air paintings.
Listing all my favorite things or what I like to do for fun is impossible. Enumerating only serves to trivialize them.
For instance, how can one list "silence ...and candle light" as a favorite thing without seeming contrived? But it is ...one of my favorite things, as is finding bird nests with fragile cast off egg shells -- the Prussian blue dome of the night sky -- or simply a cup of new pencils freshly sharpened.
DonРІР‚в„ўt get me wrong -- the arts, in particular, architecture, interior design and literature are passions. I love riding horses "western saddle". IРІР‚в„ўve skied hard every winter since I was 15. I summer in the mountains adjacent to Yosemite, camped and hiked the Sierras since early childhood. IРІР‚в„ўve held season tickets for the opera and ballet. The Hollywood Bowl in the summer is a must. San Francisco with its plethora of restaurants remains one of my favorite destinations to visit in a heartbeat, and IРІР‚в„ўve been known to fly to New York just to catch the last few days of an art exhibit.
But when all is said and done, family and friends are at the heart of things. And in this banquet of life, less is truly more.
It would be so nice to find a good man with whom to share it all.
