As third generation Californian, I look forward to staying in the area. After college, I ended up in Washington DC. For thirty years. I worked on the Hill and later opened a travel agency on the Hill specializing in political travel. This gave me a front row seat to late 20th century US political history. It was thrilling.
After my marriage ended, I returned home to Pasadena in 1999 to be with my large and close family. They helped me raise my two wonderful kids who are out shaking up the world now. The first few years back home, the majority of my time was caring for both of my parents as their health failed. Somehow, after all the adventures of my life, I was certain destiny brought me home to be here for them at their end. It was my privilege.
As owner of a travel agency for 18 years, IРІР‚в„ўve travelled and enjoyed many places. My last big adventure was a month in Ethiopia studying their unique culture, art and religion. I have a major interest in ancient history and have loved tramping through Egypt, Turkey and Jordan to ancient sites. Nothing more fun.

Meet someone special from United States. The first thing you will notice about me is my height. I am 6' 1" tall. I am told I am attractive, intelligent, have a good sense of humor, and fun to be with. I am jeans and I am a long flowing gown, some times both in the same day. I've worked nearly all my life and am use to taking care of myself, but love to be taken care of. Was a VP Banker for 20 years, ran own corp with partner for 15 years, and now trying to figure out how to play retired and not doing well at it! I need to use my brains to be happy.
I am tall, but once in a while I need broad shoulders to cry on. I am too giving, compassionate, honest to a fault, and a bit sarcastic at times, and I can also be a bit silly. I love a good sense of humor and love to laugh. I am a gourmet cook and also enjoy going out for dinner. I enjoy entertaining, decorating, dancing, and Dixieland Jazz. Love good food, good wine, intelligent conversation, music, affection, long hugs, the scent of a warm sweet puppy and a good man with aftershave. Like to travel, even if just up to the mountains or the beach, Las Vegas or to Santa Barbara for a night. I enjoy nearly any live performance from plays to concerts. Little things mean a lot, and I try to do a lot of little things for my partner. Bring me one flower just because you were thinking of me rather than two dozen on my birthday. Big things mean a lot too of course!
I am champagne and caviar in a long formal gown. But I am beer and pretzels too in jeans and a sweater. I am formal, and I am as casual and down to earth as they come. I am a hard worker but love to play I can adapt.
At this point I would like a good companion to enjoy time with.
