Date someone special from Pasadena, United States. You:
Intelligent. Nice. Funny. Good looking. Educated. Loves animals, especially dogs. Affectionate. Considerate. Kind. Fun. Interesting life. Interesting person. Curious. Great smile and kind eyes. Maybe a few laugh lines. Hopefully adventurous. Cute. Financially stable. Active.
E-Ticket level: You like to travel outside the country. You found Tina Fey's impression of Sara Palin hilarious. You have a great sense of humor and I laugh while reading your profile. You'd rather be at the game than watching it on TV (or you'd rather be doing anything other than sitting around watching TV). You like to help others. You know what "E-Ticket level" means :-).
Non-Starters: You've been told you have a current drinking problem; you are covered in tattoos; you like to hang out at the Rock Store.
Me:
Creative, considerate, stable, sharp, loyal, kind, thoughtful, funny, artistic, affectionate, passionate about a lot of things, caring, successful, stable, sensitive, and according to my friends and business associates, vivacious. I am pretty drama free (not a fan of conflict). I am athletic, but not always perfectly fit and my outdoors activities center around hiking and riding horses, maybe playing frisbee at the beach (and I am open to suggestions). I am also happy to drive the golf cart if the course has a great view.
I prefer being active, especially in spring and summer, but there are days I just like to hang outside and read. I would like to be with someone who is somewhat athletic so we can stay active, hike together, walk the dog(s) or something else along those lines. But don't worry, I'm not searching for a triathlete (though I do find it incredibly impressive!).
What else? I'm independent enough to take care of myself. And I'm sensitive and warm enough to want to be taken care of as well. I find it sexy when a man holds the door open and acts like a gentleman. I can be spontaneous and I can plan, though I prefer spontaneity.
I'm good with jeans or gowns.
And, while I am an excellent cook and am quite capable of cleaning and doing the laundry, that's not something I like to spend much time on, so if you're looking for someone to be your household caretaker, I am not your girl. Of course, that doesn't mean I won't spoil the man I'm with, with a fabulous dinner now and again. And I do love to throw a good dinner party.
While I am an entrepreneur, I am not a workaholic. My work does not consume my attention 24/7 and I want it to stay that way.
I love: a great sense of humor, the outdoors (So Cal girl born and bred); interesting conversations; socializing with friends; learning something new; spontaneous adventures; a man's eyes; laughing a lot; my brother's cooking (he's a chef - makes for great Thanksgiving dinners); interesting architecture; 1940's swing (though not my era) and Amy Winehouse, Bruce Springsteen and Adele; Pink and Pink Martini; traveling almost anywhere and especially Europe; reading a good book, the French language (which I am constantly learning and even more frequently forgetting).
Us: Shoot me an email or a wink if you'd like to see if there is a connection and I'll get back to you if I agree. I'm up for talking and meeting pretty early on so we don't waste our time. I'm definitely not interested in an online only relationship.
Meet a woman from Pasadena, United States. When you jump into a pool, do you swim laps, or play like an otter?
I am more of an otter type, and I'm looking for a guy who sees life as an opportunity to experiment and explore, to try new things and old things; to travel, to think new thoughts.
I've been told my laugh is infectious, but no one has suggested quarantine.... I am 5'3", but people tend to think I'm taller; possibly because of my high energy and vivid personality. A figure drawing teacher once said of me,"People think she's in charge; and sometimes she is!" But I'm not all fireworks and bluster: I have a quiet, contemplative side. I love plein aire painting, and write poetry (no, I won't make you listen to it unless you ask!) I also enjoy baking - whole grain bread, scones, muffins, cookies. And I like to make smoothies and find new healthful snacks.
I would love to find a man who shares my interest in dance - a lifelong ambition has been to learn partner dancing with a dedicated partner, or a singer who will sing harmony with me. To me, the shared sensuality of music and movement is nearly as compelling as making love. On the other hand, if we share plenty of activities and interests, the lack of musical skills is not a deal breaker.
Want to go hiking, camping, hang-gliding, kayaking, exploring? Learn a new language together? I'm there!
Just for the record,my listed age is my actual age, and the photos are current. I look young for my age, because I got lucky. I also watch my weight. I probably fall somewhere between average and toned and athletic. I'm surprisingly strong for my size and petite build. Right now I'm doing P90X for the second time, this time with a buddy. It's an interesting test of self discipline and endurance.
Drinking for me is an occasional exploration. I will sometimes have a glass of wine, or a beer or cocktail, but it's not something I want to make a habit of.
Learning is a passion with me, and whether I'm out hiking with friends, or in my living room at my weekly jam session, the ideas and information fly thick and fast. - and if you can't figure out when to use an apostrophe, or don't know the difference between to, too, and two, be prepared to learn, if you hang out with me. Willful indifference to basic grammar makes me nuts.
Early morning is my favorite time of day, and an ideal date might include a dawn hike, followed by brunch at a local eatery.
I am ultimately looking for a partner who will join me in getting the most out of life, one day at a time.
