Meet a woman from Ukiah, United States. Well, looks like I'm going to just make this up as I go along. In any case, I like writing so let's just see what comes out.
Looking back, it seems as if I've had a myriad of lives. My early life was one of student - at UC Berkeley in the 60's. Quite a time and it set the stage for my political beliefs. Need I say more. One life has been in the country building up a piece of property and doing things a woman wouldn't often think to do, plumbing my owner built home, doing electrical wiring, sheetrocking. Can't tell you how many times I've worked on water pipes lines, But that's a past life, one that I was once proud of but can now happily let go. There was me, the marketing director of a small boutique winery, wine tastings and food parings. Then there's been the Traveler, going solo to a number of third world countries. There was also a stint as expatriot, living in Mexico in the winters. There is me, the artist, painter, sculptor, watercolorist. Then more recently, there has been me the grandmother. That's been a good one. There was me the Buddhist. And now just a me who likes to sit on the front stoop with a cup of tea and watch the light change the colors of the day.
So many 'me's. (I'll save me the lover for a more intimate conversation once I get to know you). Now, at this age, the different parts of myself, past and present, make up the comfortable round fullness of who I am today.
I'd like to meet a man who would be my friend and confidant first. Someone who doesn't fill up all the airspace with words. Willing to take the time to get to know each other. I like people who are non judgmental, sensitive, good listeners, willing to reveal themselves (slowly at first but then more and more deeply). I like to have fun, to laugh at the small (and the big) things. I love adventure, not knowing what's around the corner. If you are an adventurer, that's a real big plus for me. If you happen to love classical music, go to art show or the SF Symphony, you are right up my alley. I have a wonderful piece of country property to share with someone who loves a little nature communing. Walks around here with my dog, especially in the spring (now) are intoxicating..
