Date a soulmate from California, United States. I love to laugh. Quick wit, love of words, intelligent banter all delight me. Tenderness, too. I am seen as an intelligent and engaging and outgoing woman. Such compliments humble because I am simply a person who cares about others. I am fortunate to have many friends from all walks of life, each of whom has taught me something valuable along the journey. I am looking for someone of similar ilk... who sees value and beauty in every experience. someone with a positive outlook, with curiosity and empathy. I am a cuddler and want to feel cherished. I do not respond well to neediness or self-absorption. I am a kid of the 60s, loving still all that music along with classical and some contemporary. Lots more to say, but it will wait till the first cup of coffee..
Meet a woman from California, United States. Friends describe me as adventurous, loyal, fun-loving and generous. They would say I'm a great cook and love to entertain. You might hear about my Christmas cookies, especially the rum balls, or the wine tasting parties. You might also hear "Where is she now; what's her next trip?" I'm so fortunate to have long time friends, some from junior high school in Nebraska, others from my college days in Los Angeles, and still others I've worked with over the years. These are treasured long term relationships.
My terrific son would say I've always been there for him. He and his wife live near by and we are the best of friends.
I miss the companionship and on-going enrichment from a long term relationship--the special someone to laugh with, share a good glass of wine with, enjoy a day at the beach, attend a play, or listen to music. So, I'm looking for that someone special who is his own person, who is ethical, optimistic, kind, and has a sense of humor and adventure.
My career in human resources has challenged me every day. No two days were ever the same. I've learned so much; every person has their own special story and something to give. I've retired from full time work, but still do intermittent consulting work because it's fun and so rewarding.
My special passion is traveling, whether it be Santa Barbara or the Galapogos. I can rough it or do it in style. Have a sense of adventure and love to see new places and experience different cultures. Recently, I've explored Tibet and Nepal, meeting the people, seeing the glorious landscape and learning some of the history.
If you are that like-minded special person, I would enjoy hearing from you.
Date someone special from California, United States. While I'm open to a lifelong relationship with the right man, I am okay with being alone as well. It's important to share similar life goals and paramount that we both are in alignment spiritually. Jesus Christ informs my life: Who I am and who I am growing into. I'm not perfect and neither am I looking for someone who is; just want a humble man willing to look inside himself.
I have given my life to caring for others both in my occupation as a nurse and a therapist, but more importantly to the love and care of those I love in my immediate family.
I am proud that I got my masters degree at the age of 50. You might say I am a life-long learner.
I enjoy being active: Gardening, making my surroundings beautiful, yoga/pilates, running, the arts, hiking, backpackiing, the outdoors and serving others.
I care deeply that those in my inner circle know me well and vice versa. Life is much too short to not risk being known for who you really are.
You will find that I am passionate about leaving a positive mark on the lives I touch.
I love to be silly and enjoy the moment. I have spent a good portion of my life whittling down my own baggage and think because my father showered me with the gift of his unconditional love I have a good shot at a healthy, loving relationship. It always takes two doesn't it!
