Meet a soulmate from Menlo Park, United States. I have an active life with wonderful friends and family and for this I am grateful. I had a wonderful marriage for 30 years where we shared values, fun things, and work interests. After being widowed seven years ago, I moved back to the Bay area and am having good experiences getting involved in causes I believe in, enjoying the outdoors, connecting with friends, but realize I really miss having a best friend/lover whom can become the central part of my life and who shares my values. Being in a close loving relationship is the greatest gift (and sometimes takes some work). I am hoping to find someone who is kind, intellectually interesting, shares my values (including doing what I can to make the world a better place), enjoys the outdoors, and who wants to enjoy and share the journey in a committed relationship. I am now officially retired after working for many years in high pressure jobs including starting a center at Stanford, a new federal agency in DC, writing some books (on policing and helping children). I spend my time working/volunteering on issues I care about including helping social entrepreneurs, sometimes taking university class on history, having friends over for dinner, enjoying the great outdoors, reading, going to concerts, plays, San Francisco opera, dancing at outdoor concerts , exploring the Bay area especially San Francisco, Yosemite. In the past few years have traveled to Bhutan, Hungary (biking trip), New Zealand, Greece and Turkey, world war one and two locations, and a few trips back East to New York, Cape Cod, Boston.
