I lost my husband of 38 years, my soulmate, three years ago, and have learned that the way to move on is to stay active with my writing and many close friends, and involve myself in charity and social organizations. I became a basketball junkie and a huge Laker fan.....it adds excitement to my life. Besides, there's some life's lessons to be learned...as in all sports, I guess.
As Vice-President of the Palm Springs Women's Press Club, basically a charity organization, I book guest speakers, for our monthly luncheons, network and raise scholarship money for journalism or other media students. In Los Angeles, I was in the entertainment industry as a Production Coordinator, Script Supervisor and then Literary Agent for television writers. I've written screenplays and now happily write a bi-weekly column for a local magazine. In addition, I book singers and musicians around town.
