I have had lots of animals (cats, dogs, rabbits, birds, even a posseum) but my favorite is a horse. I use to ride a lot when I was growing up on my uncle's ranch, where I was expected to bridle, saddle and groom my own horse, I also enjoyed going wiith my grandfather when he went around the valley shoeing horses for his friends. All my animals have had great personalities, because they were give attention, and not just fed and put aside. My favorite dogs were my German Sheppard, and Golden Retriever. I don't have any animals right now, because I am not home 24/7 to give them the attention they need.
Spend years camping wiith family and friends, and spend most of my summers in Yosemite, and Huntington Lake, but would prefer staying in a cabin or RV now. I still enjoy walks in the mountains, and walking on the beach in Santa Barbara. I traveled to Europe in l990 for my daughters wedding in Finland, and then spend the next two weeks traveling by Eruo Rail seeing more countries before I left. I also believe that you should be able to enjoy spending time at home doing everyday normal things,
Spent a lot of time in Tahoe, when my parents had a home at Tahoe Keys, before they sold it. Skied at Heavenly Nevada, in the winter, and loved going for walks, or just sitting on the deck, reading, watching the boats go by, or just looking at the beautiful Mts, in the summer. I don't gamble, so stayed away from the casino' except when I went down for the shows.
I enjoy doing lots of different things, and even waxed my step-father's Bonanza one time. I wanted to do something nice for him and wanted it to be a suprise. I discovered the hard way that waxing a plane is nothing like waxing a car, and that was when I was a lot younger. Take my advise, if you ever think of doing it, pay someone. It took me all day. My dad was thrilled, and for that I'm glad I did it, but I never tried it again.
When ever I can I spend lots of time in Santa Barbara. I have family there and it's worth the 5 hr drive just to see them.
I also belong to a corvette club, and we put on the oldest running event in the USA. For 43 years we have our run to Tahoe, but this year our 44 we will be hosting our event in Reno this September.
I am neat and ordely, and am a firm believe that you take care of what you have. I do not like being around negative people, but if someone needs help, I will always try and see what I can do. My family and friends will also tell you that I am either on time, early but never late.
I enjoy cooking when I have the time. My uncle had an indoor bar-b-que, so I still think that men are the best at this.
