Date a woman from United States. I am new at this, and to say that I am scared is probably an understatement. I have been out of circulation for 45 years. I was married for 41 years, when my husband died suddenly in 10/09. I miss him terribly, but it's time to get on with my life.
Currently I am looking for someone in my age range to spend time with, chat with and have dinner with. At this point I am not looking for a permanent relationship. If I found someone very special, however, you never know. I am a little on the shy side, but once I know someone, I open
I am a few extra pounds on me. I fell in 2003, severing both quad tendons. That was quite an ordeal. Anyway since then my mobility has been limited and I currently use a cane. I underwent surgery to repair the injury, but it was not as successful as I'd hoped. I recently located an orthopedic surgeon who determined that my tendons much too long therefore they were not allowed to do their job. In Sept I had additional surgery to the left knee, then had surgery on the right knee 3/9. I am have graduated from a full leg brace to a short one, and doing pretty good. The new ortho surgeon assures me things will improve significantly, but not like when I was 18. My goal is simply to toss the cane.
I am employed as a claims specialist, handling auto accident claims involving injuries, most of which end up in litigation, but I am currently on disability due to my surgery. Once all of my surgeries are complete, I plan to retire. I live in a mobile home in a lovely park in Brea, and share my space with my 2 cats, Trouble and Toby. I am a good cook, but really like to go out as my husband preferred my home cooking to restaurants & I'm a bit weary of cooking. I have quite a bear collection. I like to sew. I recently signed up for Ancestry.com in hopes of creating my family tree. I never realized how time consuming it would be.
Once my mobility has returned, I hope to start exercising. I like to walk and years ago I actually road bicycles long distance when my family belonged to the OC Wheelmen. I doubt that I'm up to long distance any more, but I still have my bike, and would like to try some short rides, possibly the bike trail, which is where I started years ago.
I have a one son who just remarried. He has 2 daughters of his own and a step-daughter. His new wife has 2 sons.
He is very handy and did a beautiful job remodeling my mobile home. He has a shop where he repairs/restores motorcycles and cars as well as a handyman business. I am very proud of him and so happy with his recent marriage.
Meet someone special from United States. I am a mother and grandmother first, then I am a Clinical Social Worker. I like to enjoy every day. I want to find someone who I can be comfortable with whether we are going out on the town or watching baseball eating hot dogs. I would love to meet someone who could make me laugh. I am an up beat person who likes being very active.
