I am a retired middle school counselor; I can truly say that I loved my career which mostly involved teaching the kids problem-solving skills that could benefit them for the rest of their lives. I never awakened in the morning and dreaded going to work.
I was blessed to have had a very fulfilling career, but I am looking forward to the next phase of my life; I am excited to see what's around the corner! When I was young, I think quite a few women in my generation were attracted to physical appearance and career stability. While those attributes are not unimportant (i.e., chemistry and financial stability), I am now relying on my instincts to guide me in finding love. Internal qualities, such as kindness and respect, are now my benchmarks for selecting a person. Personally, I think my friends would describe me as happy, kind, a good listener, and respectful. Additionally, I think people would notice that for a woman my age that I take care of myself physically, but after spending a little time with me, I feel that would sense that I'm caring and kind as well.

p.s. A few years ago, I spent two years living in two different locales, part-time in San Luis Obispo, and part-time in another state. I loved it! As long as there is an airport near-by so I can visit my grandchildren from time to time, I would be open to doing it again!

Close to home I spend time with my family (I rode Thunder Mountain three times in a row at the urgings of my grandsons). I work out regularly, hike, and I have recently taken up the guitar. I read voraciously and am a "forever student".
