i enjoy creating projects, have invested in a start up food supplements co. however, my main focus during my entire professional life has been the assemblage of land which i then guided through the annexation and entitlement process to provide a master plan to a developer who then bought the project from me. i am still involved in real estate in the coachella and imperial valley. it has been a fascinating process.
i am a collector of native american pottery, rugs and kachinas and also enjoy art of many periods, "blue rider" group being a favorite, huge matisse fan. my late husband who was a very cultured man - who literally walked with presidents - and i traveled to many countries. while he guided delegations of farmers, bankers and scientists, i explored the country side and museums. he showed me how to retain grace under pressure.
favorite places are venice, florence, zurich, southern germany and closer to home, alaska, santa fe and mendocino, idyllwild, as well as the central coast of california, and of course the coachella valley. i would like to travel by car through the south of france. have been there with my husband on agricultural excursion only once.
i am told that i am attractive. height 5.6 1/2, weight 133 pds, in good shape, work out sometimes, get bored when exercising, but feel better afterwards for having done it.. :-). have lived in the desert for almost 40 yrs. am thinking of relocating for at least five months out of the year. am an "up" person, early riser, good humor.
fin. indep., educ. interested in the arts, eloquent, socially secure, can travel. no emotional baggage. my partner cannot be intimitated by an indep woman. favorite dress is a pair of worn jeans and a t-shirt, but i can put on that little black dress with the best of them and organize and entertain dinners for 100 guests at my house without having a panic attack. past dinner guests included netanyahu and "the iron lady" of england...
my friends need to have active minds, be worldly and well traveled and have a great sense of humor. i believe that not being able to laugh - especially at oneself - makes life that much more difficult. i am however in need of much quiet time as i listen to my music (madame butterfly right now as i am writing this)...
i am accustomed to first class travel and top service wherever i go. that does not mean that i do not enjoy a great burger now and then, bbq and home cooking for us, picnics at the beach or in the mountains. preferred location however for "roughing it" would be the "dolder grand" in zurich, the "peninsula" in hong kong, or the "bel air" in LA.
i am politically and economically conservative. sooooo, extremely liberal gents may think this over before contacting me :-) socially i am liberal, i.a.w., one might call me a libertarian. therefore, pls. do not respond if you even think of voting (again) for obama ....
