Meet a woman from California, United States. I am very interested in the world around me, and want to be always learning. I enjoy the outdoors and living near a National Rec Area and near the ocean, and I drive over the mountains a lot and head for Westward Beach. I am semi-retired, but active in local, nonpartisan politics. I feel like it is time for me to give back to my community, and help make the world a better place for the kids of today With that in mind, I also joined in the effort to save Ahmanson Ranch for parkland, and was thrilled when that happened in 2003.
The past few years,I have discovered a passion for writing, and write on my blog most days...humorous (I hope!) observations of life in my local area. Besides writing, I like looking at paintings and other kinds of art, and go to most local gallery exhibits, as well as visiting the major SoCal museums. I am interested in architecture as well.
Some of the work I have done has included having a public relations and advertising business, being a radio DJ on a country station, and headling up a citywide ticket outlet system in the Northwest. I guess most work has involved communication of some kind.
My spiritual quest is important to me, and I try to find time to meditate daily and read something inspirational. Other kinds of books I like are mysteries, thrillers ,and biographies.
I am looking for a man who has a sense of fun and a positive attitude, someone who is intelligent, likes good conversation, and has a loving heart. I would like to meet that "special someone," but making new friends along the way would be good, too.
