You will find me living happily here in Grass Valley (Alta Sierra) where I like to spend a great deal of time outdoors. I am NOT a city girl--I left that all behind in SoCal. My dream for the past 30 years was to live here and now I feel like I have "come home." I love camping (and currently back to tenting, using a 24" high Queen size mattress--true comfort, sadly sold trailer) be it in the mountains, beach or desert--watching the wildlife, the glow of the campfire, listening to the chirping of birds and hearing the wind in the trees. The adventure of a country road beckons me to find out where it ends. Snow, wind, thunder and ligthning are exciting things to me as is a daily hug and a tender touch. I guess I am easy to please.
I am currently busy landscaping the 1/2 acre of my 3 bedroom home that I own. I find working in the dirt both relaxing and challenging.
Hardware stores are like a candy shop where I love to buy things for my yard and home improvements. I am NOT a Nordstrom's, Macy's kind of woman.

A job that I was especially proud of was getting to be a full-time, stay-at-home mom a bit later in life and raise two beautiful daughters (now 30 and 31) and being part of all their many activities--Indian Maidens, gymnastics, snow skiing, dance, Girl Scouts, cheer leading, National Charity League, 4-H, FFA, soccer, distance running, etc.
Presently I belong to the 50 Plus-Holbrooke group in GV, Sierra Singles and Sierra Outdoor Sports Club--want to try kayaking. I attend Master Gardner's classes and travel with the Roadrunner's Travel Club on bus trips. I guess I stay pretty busy having fun (when not enjoying my yard) but I'd love to spend quality time with the right someone. Most of the groups are 99% women--where are the men???

It's a great book to learn about yourself.

Meet someone special from United States. I am a 65 year young woman who has finally figured out that humor is the main aphrodesiac in life! I am retired and President of the local hospital auxiliary and help coordinate the gift shop. I escaped the Bay Area and a 25 year health care career and found heaven on 3 acres overlooking a pond filled with wildlife! My life is filled with friends, grandchildren, books, gardening, exploring, water sports - and not in that order, necessarily! I am an extrovert who also loves solitude but would love to share it with the right person. I have a positive outlook on life and try to enjoy each moment to its fullest. I love all seasons but tend to enjoy the "sunshine" months the best - water is my friend as well as moonlight and stars. I have a lot to share and give the right person and have found it to be a priority!Mr. Wonderful must have a sense of humor and be able to make me laugh! He needs to be caring and loving and have the ability to listen as well as problem solve. I prefer the outdoors type who loves sports, exploring and traveling. My family is my center and I would expect his to be as well - only until he meets me! A man who can cook as well as build/repair things is a real plus! Cross-training in life is the key! I would hope Mr. W. would be romantic, loving and affectionate. Special times would include picnics, movies, hiking, river rafting and just reading together. I am wise enough to know that no one is perfect and that the best of relationships needs lots of work - but I am ready to take on the job!
