Why am i doing this again??!! I suppose it's the lack of time to socialize these days. Living in a rural area makes dating a challenge to say the least. I live and love being on a cattle ranch with all the animals, wildlife, nature and open space. I like my elbow room. After growing up in San Diego, college, spending several seasons in Vail (can't wait to get there again!), back to SD, I've hung my hat here coming up on nine years now. I yearn to travel more but I'm fortunate to have been able to experience many different States, Spain, France, Germany, Czech Republic, Holland , Belgium, Argentina, Costa Rica, Italy, and most recently Nicaragua has its hooks in me! Oh and Mexico of course, visited a bunch of places there. Played sports most my life and miss the competitive nature. I can definately cook but long fancy dinners where someone else does dishes, and a good lively dive bar (jukebox is a plus!) have been missing as of late. I believe in being courteous, generous and loyal but refuse to be mistreated. I have many plans for this life but being in the moment has certainly enriched it beyond expectations. I wish deals could still be done by a firm handshake and that we could all be the tortoise for awhile instead of a society of hares. Its easy to choose a painful laugh over a reserved conversation any day.
I am looking for a woman that knows what she wants but is comprimising, loves animals but doesn't want to carry one in her purse, can be active during the day and ready to hit the town at night, doesn't get caught up in planning her life so spontaneity disappears, strong and independent but would enjoy chivalry and comfort, enjoy nice things but realize experiences are true wealth, knows the importance of family and friends and who's comfortable in her own skin, PHEW! How's that for a run-on sentence?

Alec is on the Autism Spectrum (high functioning) and his growth and development has been amazing to see. We recently moved to Tucson, Arizona with our small Shih Tzu named Sophie and are so excited to be here as we've heard great things about the area and the help that's available for him. About me, I am 5'9" tall, 185lbs, and have an athletic build. I graduated from Ohio Univ and have been working on my Master's Degree for some time. On a personal note, I am separated and going through the divorce process. Alec's mother and half brother live in Japan. Suffice it to say, it isn't something that was wanted or warranted but we all have choices to make in life and I have had to choose to accept it and focus my attention, heart, time and energies to Alec in being his parent, father, caregiver and supporter. It is a challenge and I have much respect for all single parents and caregivers as I am learning to find balance.

I have lived in CA, AZ, NYC and now AZ again. I am well educated (MBA) and well traveled (Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, Latin America) but want to see even more of the world. What else? Sense of humor? Everything from Jon Stewart to “South Park”, stand up to “Office Space”. They all have their place. Politically left of center, affectionate, romantic, adventurous, fairly outgoing, always up for something fun, something social and/or something new.
Ideal match? Who knows? I don’t really have a type. I am attracted to a lot of different types. Athletic, fun-loving, ambitious, smart, funny, cute/hot - am I asking for too much?
