Recently, I have been exploring meditation, went to a "burn" event (which was awesome), getting out to see live concerts and generally making new things happen in my life. I am very excited to be well into my private pilot's training and I'm learning to play guitar. I walk away from both of those activities with a smile!
I have my two boys every other week, and they are the biggest joy in my life, but on my "off" week I have a want to get out of as much as possible! I have a National Park pass that I like to use as much as possible, play some racquetball, or go to a local microbrewery for a new and delicious beer. I've also been enjoying my Buffs season ticket -- Go Buffs!
One of the things I miss very much from my many years as a native of Southern California is all of the diverse and authentic food. I've lived in Boulder for four years and I have found some delicious food, but I would be oh so grateful to a native that shows me some of the little mom-and-pop places that create wonderful food with passion.
A few side notes: Cooking is one of my passions, since I get to be creative and especially since what I create usually makes people smile. I love my neighborhood and the people that live here are great. I've organized my neighborhood with a few hundred members right now and I'm continuing to work on getting more people involved.

If you're into it, walking a round of golf is a wonderful way to have a few hours of talking, being out in the beautiful outdoors and doing something semi-athletic sort of as a bonus. Or a game of pool. I love pool and used to be pretty good, but have lost quite a bit of my touch since giving up the party-Fridays many years ago. But I kept my cue, so watch out!
One thing about me is that I can't bring myself to throw a game, so if you beat me at something, you will know I did my level best. A bonus of playing hard is that whomever wins/loses, you get to see their character afterwards. I don't like Woo-hoo'ers or hang-dog reactions. I'll buy you a beer afterwards, regardless!
A FINAL NOTE: What is happening in our society that women cannot respond back to an email (that takes time and thought) with a polite note? I honestly cannot comprehend how someone could receive a sincere message and decide that's it's OK to just not reply back. Are we not taught proper manners anymore???

I'm a humble and I realize that there's a time to give and be loving and understanding. I also stand up for what I believe in and I am careful not to force my beliefs on others. I am employed as a marketing advisor. In addition, I am working on writing a book regarding macro economic policy. My job is great and it has provided me ample free time and resources to enjoy life. I consider myself lucky, but when I look back I realize we make a lot of our luck. In addition I consider my self highly ambitious, and determined to secure a future that is financially solvent. Sound financial management is important to me so if your a person with poor financial management were likely a poor match.
I live in the Lakewood area and my neighborhood has numerous mountain trails and running paths. Recently I rode my bike up Lookout Mountain on the Golden side. The ride down is worth every ounce of effort to get up. I spend a lot of my free time hiking, biking, and skiing in the mountains near Lakewood. I also love to travel and just returned from a trip to Sydney, Australia. I enjoy camping and I spent part of last summer with with my seven-year twin nephews kayaking in the San Juan Islands. In addition, I like to sight see and I'll try anything once.
My friends tell me that my best trait is my giving and loyal nature, and I am looking for someone that's loyal and fun. It's important to me to take care of the people who matter. If I had a choice it would be to have kids, but I am flexible and most importantly I am looking for the right person.
I enjoy people and the good times that accompany time spent with good friends. I married my H.S. sweetheart, had children (22 y.o. twins-out of the house- and a fantastic 10 y.o. son that I get every other week, for the week), had a good 22 years together, then "one of us" changed dramatically. LOL We have been separated for 2 years with NO chance of reconciliation! The unique dilemma here is, I am not really sure how to be single or where to meet a nice woman to date.
