I love museums and galleries, cool bookstores and coffee shops but yet I don't really drink coffee! I love to be submersed in nature absorbing HER glory and beauty. I prefer summer over winter and love spring and autumn equally. I am active in so many different ways, but try to find harmony between activity, rest, relaxation and meditation. I love how therapeutic gardening is. I am a vegetarian for humanitarian and health reasons. I work in the nonprofit sector and am getting my degree to teach history. I have been a social entrepreneur advocating for social and environmental justice issues. I lived in Africa for a while and continue to travel there for business projects and fun. I have a close, tight knit family and awesome, supportive friends. I believe in synchronicity and yes serendipity. Overall, I love life and it's crazy, complex paths it has us on.

I came from a unique and challenging upbringing. Will share when appropriate - just so you know, pretty much anything you can think of that could be thrown my way, was. I have learned so much about life and have so much to learn. - Running local 5k/10k fun runs/races - Running of The Green, Cherry Creek Sneak, the Furry Scurry @ Wash Park
- enjoying a well deserved beer after the above mentioned local 5k/10k fun runs/races
- Eating out at all kinds of restaurants - fun ones, specialty restaurants, trendy hot spots, chill local joints...LINGER, Ale House, Cherry Cricket, North, Tavern @ Wash Park or Uptown, etc.
- Speaking of food - Whole Foods :).
- working out - hitting the gym regularly, going to yoga classes (Yoga is now my 'thing' 3x a week - handstands are pretty much my 'thing'.
- pretty much anything @ Wash Park sounds great - depending where you're from - a 'cookout'/'bbq'/'grilling out' - did I miss any? :)
- Wash Park, cont'd - running, walking my dog, volleyball, some fun 'corn hole'/'bean bag tossing' and other fun leisure games among friends.
- Happy Hour here and there, especially on an awesome patio soaking up some warm sun!
- Watching some movies while eating some popcorn at home or at the theatre. Chick flicks are ok with me, promise ;).
- what am I missing? If I missed some obvious ones it is bc it's 6 am when writing this. :)
- dressing up or down, depending on the occasion.
I don't expect someone to love all the above, just quite a few! :). The rest of the heavier stuff we can learn from each other over time - like values, beliefs, you get the idea - personal stuff. :)

I am fortunate that I enjoy my job.... but my job does not define me, although it does have me traveling often. Traveling for work gives me the chance to travel more on leisure (via all the frequent flyer miles). I have been to Europe several times, just got back from Ireland in May. Thinking about Italy in November.
I have always enjoyed camping, hiking, and biking in the Summer. In the winter... Snowshoeing... I am always willing to try something new... I enjoy evenings at home watching a movie and drinking a nice glass of red wine as much as I enjoy going out.... I strive to keep a balance.

I decided to have a bit of fun on my profile. My time on Match is ending and it has become quite stale. I do searches by who is online. No sense in trying to communicate with someone who hasn't been on the site for weeks, right? Anyway, seeing the same ladies on here who are either looking for the 1 guy in a billion to fit their dream match or not truly interested in meeting someone got pretty dull. Although they are probably thinking "ugh, THIS guy again." But in my defense, I have pretty bad short term memory. And if you change your first picture I get confused. Early onset dementia. Or just plain stupidity. Your choice.
So I am going to change this profile pretty often until my time runs out. And I thought I'd do it using inspiration from my I-Pod. I listen to it a lot because I am in the car for much of the day and Colorado Springs radio leaves a lot to be desired. And since the company didn't spring for Sirius I am stuck.
Anyway, this is the part that will change: Should I Stay Or Should I Go by the Clash is going back a ways. But still a great song. A confused dude asking his lady to just help him make a decision, to communicate! Lol... I won an airband competition with this song in college. Just a little trivia for ya.
I am a good guy, working on being a good man. I am also a good father and a good friend. I am very athletic although not in the best shape. Or even good shape. But I win more than I lose playing competitive doubles volleyball and I hold my own in most other sports. And I dominate the dance floor, too. Along with all of that I am also smart, funny and employed.
A lot of the profiles I've viewed say that they are looking for a guy having the exact characteristics that I possess. Probably the extra weight throws them off. Or possibly my blunt style of communication. Or possibly even that I am a single father. And hey, I am as shallow as the rest of society. But I am not going to dismiss someone out of hand because of a picture or 2 on a website.

Meet single man from United States. Looking for a partner and friend to explore all this wonderfull world and state we live in has to offer. Enjoy last minute/spur of the moment trips with only a rough itinerary or destination in mind. I have been fortunate to have traveled to some interesting places and seen different cultures first-hand. When you come back home it gives you an even bigger appreciation for all that we have here. More importantly it makes you want to get out there and enjoy it while we can.
I would love to find a friend to join me on adventures with as well as just enjoying each others company. Summer time comes and I am looking to spend free time outside. Lets head over to Crested Butte and go play on all of their amazing trails. Do a full moon climb on a 14er to be greeted with a sunrise summit. Or just decompress next to a high mountain stream and enjoy the solitude. A summer afternoon spent on a patio sharing life experiences and revelations can leave a lasting impression in one's mind and soul just as much as watching the sun rise from the summit of a mountain chasing all of the nights shadows away.
Fun can be found inside just as much outside. Love people watching and deep discussions on life, politics, and people. Let's spend an afternoon downtown and create a random storyline for people we pick out of the crowds. Better yet, let's do the same while wandering the halls of the Denver Art Museum. A serious tickle session like we were kids can be entertaining as well.There is always more to explore if you continue to dig.
When it all comes down it is not really about your final destination but your journey getting there. Think about it! When it is all said and done we all end up buried in the ground or burned up into carbon in the fire. How we each end up getting to that final point is what life is really all about. Hence, the meaning of the word, "Life". ;) Sorry, got a little deep on that one but I meant to say let's go out and do something we always wanted to do.

I am discribed by others as outgoing and social surrounded by friends most of the time.... I would say I love my down time with someone special, and would consider myself almost shy.
