I enjoy projects, goals and challenges. I enjoy overcoming obstacles and doing things that I’m not sure I can do. I enjoy working with a team and being part of something bigger than me. I enjoy seeing people have fun. I like children and animals. I love symmetry, beauty and balance. I do my best to accept people as they are and try to add to the love of the world rather than add to the hate.
As a child I lived in Yosemite. I’ve always said that Yosemite taught me my love for both the magnificent and the small. It’s shown me that even while looking at a vista of granite monoliths that there is nothing that surpasses the beauty of Mariposa Lilly or the mystery of a Water Ouzel fly as he flies underwater.

I like to read, to learn new things, and to watch well written drama and science fiction (the "well written" part really narrows the field). I love good food, good wine and craft beer. I love live music and, if you catch me in the right mood, dancing. I love spending a fun night in a pub listening to a live band and talking with friends.
Above all else, I love and spoil my dogs and can't imagine a life without rescuing and looking after some of them. If you are someone who doesn't believe that dogs should live inside the house and be on the couch or bed when they want, then I'm afraid that we're not going to get along.
For good or ill, I have absolutely no interest in professional sports.
I've done the rat-race, been the CEO, the husband and father, and now I'm ready to take some time to relax, have fun and just enjoy life again. I'd like to actually create something that makes a difference instead of just a buck.
I'd like to find that special person to be my best friend and lover, and with whom to talk and explore the simple pleasures of life. I'd like her to be intelligent, quick-witted, secure within herself and willing to try to understand the differences in others whether she agrees with them or not.
