Meet someone special from Ventura, United States. I am basically a pretty old fashion midwestern guy. I came to California in 1964 so have changed some but still belive in basic values and the Golden Rule. I am fairly intellegent, have a lot of common "horse sense", a good handyman (can fix anything I take apart), adventureous, caring, honest/ethical and brought up to be respectful of others. I am a believer in self improvemnet but am not real artsy or esoteric. My present plans/dreams for me include buying a 40 ft. sail boat and going crusing. Where? to be determmined. Lots of places in the world I want to see and people I want to get to know and understand. I really enjoy the peace of the ocean. To me the storms only are only a contrast to help you appreciate the clear days even more. I prefer time with a small group of quality friends but do OK at a party. I'm fairly quite by nature but am well liked by those who get to know me. One thing I must say. Reading all you gals desires it seems communication is a biggie. As mentioned above, I am a quite person by nature and I believe a look, a touch, the things done is a screeming form of communicaton. Sorry that is the way I am, no sense pretending I'm not. However, not all is lost, I have learned to talk about things that bother me, am capable of whispering a sweet nothing (along with a hug) from time to time and am becoming a pretty good listener. One thing I have notice in the last few years is that people will say hi to me out of nowhere, walking down the street, standing in line, walking by the table at lunch, etc. Interesting pheonomone? Haven't figured it out yet, but it's nice to think I have a friendly effect on people. Maybe you'll be able to tell me why? I was not looking for a "type" when I met my wife, except pretty would and did catch my eye. And she liked tall men. From that beginning its a long story til death us did part.
I am a reader and think I'm knowledgable. Teach but still study. Writer of newsletters and unpublished books. Some people have told me that I'm not as smart as I think I am. Not as funny either, but I get more laughs than frowns.
