I'm looking for who you are not for what you have. I believe an instant connection or attraction is needed in order for something to develop down the road. Some call it chemistry. And, it definitely works both ways. I take a common sense approach to most everything. I also believe in being practical and realistic. I try to simplify not complicate things. It doesn't always work though. I'm not into the material world. I'm looking to meet someone who has some of my interests but not all. I would rather build from the basics. I think if you care enough about someone who has other interests that are important to them, then those interests will become very important to you, too.
I'm looking to meet someone for all the right reasons. I'm not into one night stands and am not a player. Your smile and a raised eyebrow will most likely get my attention. Your voice will keep it. From there who knows. Only time will tell.
The most important thing to me about someone is that they just be themselves. We all waste too much energy playing games. Besides the only person you are fooling down the road is yourself.
I must admit I didnt think it would be this difficult in meeting someone. But, anything worth doing isn't easy. We all have had our challenges I'm sure and no one said life would be fair. Send me an email and we'll see where it leads!!

I'm a work in progress. Yes I consider myself to grow everyday as I enjoy life and the people around me. I grew up in the upper midwest and still have that so called sense of value. Hard work and myself go hand in hand. What I have achieved in my career and the goals I have set make up who I am. I have been told by friends, both male and female, that I have a kind disposition, care about others, treat people fairly and that I'm considerate. I'm very close to ending the career chapter of my life and look forward to the next. I have interests in travel, seeing the out of the way corners of the U.S. and possibly Canada. Finding new dining places and experencing new thrills like zip lining, white water rafting, skiing and possibly kayaking. Hiking in the National Parks is on my bucket list as well.
With that being said, I would like to experience and share the next several chapters of this adventure with "ONE" special lady that may have similar interests. That person would enjoy my company as much as I do hers.
At present I'm working a bit more then maybe I should as in hours per week. But I enjoy my career and know the light at the end of that tunnel is fast approaching. Now is the time to seek and search out for the one special lady that I want to spend the next chapters with.

I have lived in Northern Arizona for almost 18 years. During that time I have traveled and lived in Oregon and Iowa. I still own a home in Iowa, although I haven't been back in several years. I love Oregon in the summer, it's like Heaven on Earth. I made a trip to Dubai last year, but almost all of my travels have been in the US... not that I don't want to travel more internationally.

Meet people from Arizona, United States. Widowed more than four years now, I'm still charting a path forward with more of my life's journey, and looking for someone special to share this time with. Someone who greets every day with a huge passion for life, living, and love, and one that has them eagar to start that day fueled with immense joy that it is indeed quite grand to simply be alive yet another day.
What I Like To Do:
Recreationally, I like to participate in just about anything outdoors, hot or cold, and including competitive sports/games like softball, volleyball, or football. I love to snow ski, swim/play/surf or snorkel in the ocean, go mountain camping/lodging/hiking, fly fish, boating, sailing, horseback riding, and travel. Closer to home recreationally, I like good movies, the right concerts, museums/exhibits, local theatre, dining out, clubbing/dancing on occasion, tennis, golf, billiards, and just relaxing at the corner coffee shop.
Taking care of my yard is my dedicated (by design) way to stay fit. It absolutely has to be done, I like doing it, and it’s keeping me healthy. That, plus a daily work-out/exercise routine. I love to entertain friends in my home, or gather with them at functions and events. Near the top of my list of favorite things to do is to just spend idle (or active,...really active...naturally) togetherness time with a close female friend or companion; and at the top of the what-I-like-to-do list is, of course, to spend time with my family, but unfortunately none live here in AZ.
Who I Am:
My favorite time of day is early morning, but some night life excitement/activity is important to me as well. I am well-grounded, an optimist, intelligent (Mensa member, but not a geek,... really), hard working, extremely resourceful, creative, artistic, a nature-lover, articulate, and always a gentleman. Family and friends describe me as bright, cultured, quick-witted, great sense of humor, caring, trustworthy, and dependable (great family and friends, no?). I am classy and sophisticated enough to relate to, and do business with, the suits at the conference room table, yet humble and considerate enough to be able to relate to the forces in the field as equally well, having roots in their midst myself. I am spontaneous, can be swayed to be impulsive, and have been known to occasionally spring for a pricey but delicious favorite 100 year old digestif. I like a variety and some creativity when it comes to romance – both being romantic and being romanced. I'm talking romance here, not sex. I like to cook, am able to do the dishes, and I will do windows,…for a favor. A woman who is special to me gets treated specially in every way.
