Sometimes I'm a little moody (who isn't when they are almost 41?), but a good day at work/the river/surfing/snowboarding/ my dog can make me flip the switch pretty easy. On a side note, I'm totally serious about the breakfast burrito thing. I love strolling into Whole Foods at the crack of 1pm, flip flops,tshirt, jeans, sleepy hair, just- woke- up- cuz I- work- too- late- at- night and grab a bb with extra green chile and a cup of coffee. Read the paper and curse Huston Street for blowing another save (props to you for knowing where Huston street is. . . New York, the Rockies bullpen, huh?). My family is uber important to me. My parents are divorced but still get along fairly well. We all still spend holidays together ( So I guess we are only around 50% dysfunctional (hey at least I'm 50% functional). Before I digress too far let me say that I do love spending time with my niece and nephew (when they are not napping). I'm still not allowed to baby sit though (maybe someday. . . I'm still optimistic). So in reality I guess I'm pretty mellow. Especially in the last few years since I bought my house. I managed to somehow update my house on my own (I'm totally not very handy so no funny ideas girls). I really enjoy the landscaping and gardening part. My 84 yo neighbor Ernie/Ernesto and I have an unsaid who's-got-the-best yard competition every spring. He's still fairly competitive in his old age! Kicks my arse every spring. Oh yeah, Ernie's wife, Phyllis, makes the best tamales. . .yeoooooh!!

Meet people from United States. This is the hard part. I thought about paying match.com's professionals to write this, but that's not fair to the person reading this. In my own words, here goes.
The first thing that I would like to point out is that I do not take a good photograph, I have been told this for years by my friends. The in person look is a whole lot better. To further describe my appearance, I maintain a clean cut appearance, no tattoo's or piercing. For weight, I weigh 185, 175 would be the ideal weight for me, yeah there is a few pounds that shouldn’t be there, but its not a big take away. I am happy to say that 40 years later, I still have a full head of hair that I normally keep short and I have all of my original teeth. I visit my Dentist about every three months for a cleaning and I shower at least once a day.
My personality, I would like to start by saying that I have a great sense of humor and I only take things seriously when I need to. The problem here is, it doesn’t show in my writing, so please don’t judge this book by its introduction. I have no past or present drug, criminal or money problems or other hang ups. Does this mean I'm perfect? No and I don't expect the person that I will hopefully meet here to be either. I consider myself to be an easy going person, honest, a person with integrity and a strong desire to do things right. I use common sense in my decision making and I don’t carry a chip on my shoulder nor do I have an ego problem. I'm more comfortable in pair of jeans and a t-shirt, but I can dress up for a special occasion to. I am a mechanically inclined person that’s not one bit scared to get his hands dirty. As one will discover, I am a very free spirited person with lots of freedom who is open to trying new things and if I met the right person, I would even consider relocation. My favorite place is Durango (I would definitely relocate there), especially in the mountains north of town. I also enjoy dining out, going to Blackhawk/Central City just to name a few. My Father (who is my life long best friend) and I jointly own a very neat hobby that's also going to hopefully be a small part of my future dream, the pictures best describe that.
Who I'm look for. I am not on this site trying to find a one night stand. I want to meet someone to be friends with first and if that special connection is there, a long term relationship would even be better. I have a clue as to what I'm looking for, I know this because once upon a time, I met and spent a short amount of time with a woman who had all of the personality and character that I discover I was attracted to. In that moment in time with her, I was handed a lot of the clues, as to why I wasn't attracted or in love with past girlfriends, to what I needed to be looking for going forward and why I never could figure out who I wanted to be with when I grow up. I don't have a long wish list, but being honest, financially responsible and drug free would be nice. I'm open on age, not concerned about employment status or income. One thing that I am not looking for is to live the traditional American/white picket fence dream. What I do find very attractive, in a woman is one that has a "Tomboy" side, but who is also capable of turning a complete 180 and being a professional/career type. I always thought it was hard enough trying to find a nice person to date, I never imagined what it would be like knowing what you want and then the challenges of finding that person. I have hung out with mountain gorillas in the Congo, raced dogs in Alaska, lived on a cruise ship for 6 months, run with bulls in Spain, driven the most dangerous road in the USA and been charged by a bear. I have eaten camel in Kenya and gotten smashed at Oktoberfest in Munich. While I have no regrets of the life I have lived it wasn't very conducive to having serious relationships. Now that I am starting a new chapter in my life I would like it to include someone special. Someone that will still go on some crazy adventures with me but that also wants to build something more stable. I want someone who will believe in me and help me to fulfill my dreams as I would for them. Someone with a sense of adventure and who isn't afraid to try new things. I love a girl who can get dressed up and be a stunner one day but go play in the mud with me the next. I want someone who is intelligent and can have a meaningful conversation. You must have compassion and care about what's going on in the world.
I am not that good at describing myself but I will give you some of the good and the bad. I am compassionate and passionate. I like to think I am a romantic. I am a dreamer. I love kids and animals. And we had several years of history before that as high school sweethearts. Actually not even legally separated but not living together since she lives with him now.
