I have been skipping the profiles that have a life story. I mean, aren't you supposed to get to know the person as you, well, get to know them, and not by reading a profile from this site? Or, maybe I'm just old fashioned. And the profiles that have a list of qualifications of what their 'match' should meet if she is going to go on a date with him - I have to admit, it can be a bit humbling when I don't meet all of the criteria. I always thought that you decide if the person is for you after you get to know them, not pre-screen based on how you want the person to be. But, maybe I am just too traditional. Not to sound dramatic, but this world can be shallow and cruel, and it seems like most people are too focused on what they want, not whom they want. I digress...
Whom I'm looking for is not necessarily someone who has a lot in common with me. In fact, I would prefer that there are some qualities that we do not have in common so we can learn and teach each other along the way, and grow together. You would have to be an ego maniac to date yourself. I know I don't want to date someone just like me. I spend enough time with myself, and people might begin to wonder.

As much as I relish adventurous travel, I am not all "on the go", I also love a good, relaxing beach to spend hours on as well.
I do enjoy going out with friends as often as possible for good food and a few drinks, but don't get to do this as much as I might like since my circle of friends is pretty well spread throughout the country. I love to go to the movies, but feel there is very little in the theatres to really look forward to. I still love to go though. I truly love spending time with my nieces and nephews and moving further from them was one of the toughest parts of moving out here.
