Date a soulmate from Colorado, United States. I grew up in Naples, FL playing way too much golf. Now that I'm out in CO, haven't picked up a club in months. It's was just time for a change. Moved out to Denver for a job and loved everything else. The mountains are great, the people are great...Denver's pretty great. Really enjoy mountain biking, snowboarding and Crossfit. Looking for someone that is relatively active, has ambition and enjoys to go out every once in a while.
I would say now the majority of my spare time is spent either Crossfit training and Big Brother events. Throw in work and my schedule is usually somewhat occupied...minus nights. I've gotten the trying news things kick around Denver and looking for someone to share these adventures with. I've only lived here for just under two years and yet I'm just now getting a chance to experience some of these activities. Work has been my life since I got here, now that I'm settled in my job, I can start to focus on other things. Met a lot of great people through work and Crossfit, but it's tough when the large majority of these people are couples. Being the third (or fifth...) wheel is boring.
The old fashioned stuff is simply how I was raised and looking for someone with a similar background. Being a genuinely kind person goes a long way in my book.

I tend to keep a cool head in most situations and i don't get angry easily and I'm also one of those nice guys you hear about but don't think exists. I also view myself as intelligent but I try to not flaunt it. I'm a big guy and proud of it i weigh in at around 350lb so if you don't like that I'm not the guy for you. I'm also a fan of technology and I can use quite a bit of it. I also like to camp and like simple things as well. I wish our society wasn't so dependent on technology but its the world we live in so might as well enjoy it. I do hope to one day own my own property and have cows and horses and maybe some other farm animals. I have a AAS in veterinary technology, and I'm working on my BA's in history and biology, and I plan on getting a masters degree in teaching. I like to listen to music a lot and I like most genres so I work on building my library of music.
I also tend to be shy in some public situations but once i get comfortable i don't shut up. I own several pets and i do want more

I think really I'm just looking for somebody to spend time with, enjoy each others' company, have some fun, share some laughs (and a shoulder to lean on here and there). I think that's as much of an ideal as I'm looking for, I really believe that looking for that "one special someone" is just plain silly, I'd much rather let life take me where it will and see what happens.
But since we're online and looking for a match, I'd better give you an idea what to expect! I'm not crazy outgoing, but once I get a chance to open up I like to think I'm pretty fun to be around. I'm an engineer working at an environmental engineering firm, I mostly do work in water and wastewater treatment, it's been rewarding but it's really challenging and takes up a lot of my time, and almost all of that time is spent sitting at a desk staring at a computer, so I try to stay as active as I can outside of work.
I have a dog, Harper, she's four years old and is the fastest thing I've ever seen, so I'm out and about with her constantly, doing whatever I can to keep her tired and happy. We go for hikes and bike rides and trips to the dog park, in the summer I try to get out and backpack with her, in the winter she comes snowboarding with me. She's one of my favorite things in the world and as corny as it is, must love dogs is pretty much a requirement.
I have an amazing family who are my other favorite things in the world... my mom and dad live in Nashville, Tennessee and both work for Vanderbilt University, my older sister Katie is a teacher and lives in Philadelphia with her husband, Juan, and my twin sisters Emily and Julia are just about to be freshmen in college. I love them and miss them all constantly, but we get together as much as we can and have a blast whenever we're together, wherever we are.
So now for the honesty part - I moved to Denver about three years ago without knowing a soul here, and since then I've had a tough time finding folks to hang out with and meeting girls outside of work (and an engineering office isn't exactly the most young and energetic place in the world). So I'm here to see about meeting some people and trying some new things, I'm up for pretty much anything - all that outdoors stuff, checking out museums, concerts, catching a movie, going out dancing, occasionally bumming around on the couch, whatever.
