You get even less than you settled for. One of my favorite quotes and as I have found, it is absolutely true.(as i have dated from the middle of the barrel, only to discover I was scraping the bottom :) I like to think of myself as a caring, loving person, and I think MOST people who know me would agree with that statement. (my ex has me listed in his phone as "sunshine"- he would be one of the few who wouldn't agree). I am a "people person" and try to go out of my way to help others and to make some kind of positive difference in someone else's life. I am hoping to find a man who not only shows love and respect to those closest to him, but also to a complete stranger. Someone with a heart for humanity and compassion for those in need. I am honest, passionate, trustworthy. And ALL of those qualities are MUST HAVES for me, in romance or friendship. I would like to find the man that complements me. Now, Webster's online dictionary defines complements as : something that fills up, completes, or makes perfect. It has taken a while for me to realize I don't need someone to complete me. I am complete by myself-granted theres some duct tape keeping pieces in place :)...my meaning would be to make perfect, or at least better...to be strong in areas where I may lack strength (two lights shine brighter than one).
With that said, and all the sappy stuff out of the way... I enjoy a good laugh and have a quit wit about me..and a sarcastic sometimes raunchy sense of humor, never mean- but all in good fun. I enjoy a good comedy club and happy hour. I love going to concerts, Haven't missed a Nelly concert in the valley - he actually held my hand at one of them,- I still haven't washed it! (Just kidding...cuz I am quite the germaphobe:) Probably have seen everyG-UNIT and other hiphop concert too (I have a few connections for free tickets on occassion)I am probably the oldest one there - ok I am sure I am, but you only live once! I don't go out as much as I used to- so when I get the chance I try to make it as entertaining as possible. I like the saying "when life hands you lemons....grab the tequilla and salt". There is a positive to every negative. Let's face it, life is a drama..its all in how you deal with it....We all have baggage, we just don't need to make it "carry-on". Me, I prefer to throw mine in the closet with the skeletons and dirty laundry. :) Then as Dori says (from Finding Nemo) "just keep swimming, just keep swimming".....
