I'm happy most of the time, wouldn't consider myself moody and don't get angry often. I smile a lot and have laugh lines to show for it. My kids are grown and on their on and doing well, and I'm proud of them and love spending time with them. I work full-time and enjoy my job but I really enjoy the time I'm off work more.
I love most all sports, I took up golfing two years ago and golf as much as I can with a great group of ladies. I've been athletic all my life and love to stay busy. I love traveling... to the ocean, the mountains, wine county, just about anywhere. I love the water, in fact sometime I think I'm part fish. I love trying new things, in fact just went zip lining in Mexico a couple weeks ago! I love to read, go to the movies, all kinds of music from jazz, to country, rock n roll and David Gray on the piano. I love going to concerts, Tahoe, cooking and baking even more. I watch TV, I like reality shows, drink socially, don't smoke and enjoy having fun. But I really miss having someone special to share life with.
I'm looking for someone that's looking for the same thing. I'd like to find someone that has similar interests, but I'm always up for something new. I'm looking for someone that is happy in life, is active and healthy, isn't looking for someone to spend 24/7 with, but is looking for someone spend time with. I do OK on my own but I miss snuggling with someone on the couch after a good dinner, or on a lazy Sunday morning, or a Tuesday afternoon for that matter. Some favorites are time with family; including 3 grown children with family who live close to home, music and dancing; which I have found myself doing 3 or 4 evenings a week, golf; generally played with friends who are as bad, er I mean as good as I am (lol), exercising and/or playing with my 3 year old boxers (really they are 7, but anyone who has a boxer knows they are 3 years old for life!), snow skiing; water too, but have way more time in the snow under my belt, boating, fishing; as long as I don’t catch anything (thought I’d try that approach for a change and maybe I really will catch a few, although catching leads to that whole feeling sorry for the poor fish and wanting to just throw it back so it can go home to it’s family…lol!), participating in Valley fundraising events, all time spent with friends doing just about anything (legal of course), camping (no tents allowed!; I am perfectly happy to crawl into the warm, clean, fluffy bed in the 5th wheel and I don’t even care if “real” campers point fingers and laugh), an occasional Harley ride: even have the leathers for cold weather riding, drag racing; manage to attend several professional races annually (no, my neck is not really red! Promise!) fancy dressed to the nines parties any where any time. I love to dress up and go out for a quiet evening with a small intimate group or black tie event. I love to dance; west coast,beast coast, night club two-step, cha cha, cowboy two step, waltz, and many more. Dancing makes everyone smile! Dancing is a great way to connect and have a wonderful conversation on the dancefloor with your special someone. I am comfortable in and manage to have fun doing just about anything.
My favorite destination is Hawaii; located in the best nation in the world, good ole US of A! Manage to get over there as often as possible. Current escape is way over due!
I hope to meet someone who is somewhat like minded. Not “exact” minded, but someone who shares a fair amount of similar likes and interests. Someone who understands the demands of a career, who knows that at times, we have to choose work when we’d really rather be with family or friends. Additionally, high on the list is the good home and financial order of your life. Life is not always smooth, both family and financially. This has been a tough few years. Every family has their own crazy norm. Hopefully, your financial house was in a place that has made navigating the current tough times not really tough at all.

. I am a little old fashion, I like to be treated like a lady. I believe you get back what you give out. I want to be around positive people, love to laugh. My family and friends are most important to me. I work very long hours, but I would love to cut down if I have a great guy . . I’m a 56 year old divorced (for many years) parent of a college student. I’m also a long-time and very dedicated education professional. (I used to be a high school principal, but scaled-back over the years, as my personal time became more important than a school site!) I’ve been told that I have the appearance, energy and “joie de vivre” of a woman in her early 40’s. Good genes, healthy living, and an appreciation of good food, laughter, art and nature have grounded me with a happy perspective overall. Yeah, when I look at other women my age, I feel pretty good!
IРІР‚в„ўm not a fitness freak, but I do walk daily and lift weights a few times a week. I love just about any activity that takes me outdoors. I enjoy travel and am comfortable in the country, as well as a huge city that IРІР‚в„ўm unfamiliar with. I can dress up, or down with ease.
I have a strong sense of adventure and enjoy being spontaneous. At the same time, I love my home-space and all the trimmings and traditions: my vegetable garden, cooking, sewing, painting and playing music (piano). I used to rescue dogs and cats, but am now just down to a few of each. I have a house sitter for them, which lets me travel when I want to.
I’ll admit that I have taken a longggggg break from “serious” relationships, having found that trying to match �parenting’ schedules…or help non-parents understand the consuming role of being a parent…was just too much trouble, and not fair to me nor the man involved.
I am over-seeing my elderly parents, (I moved back to Fresno nine years ago to make sure they stayed “ok”), but am also fiercely protective of “my time” now. Because there just hasn’t been any “my time”…between my career, my son, and other family.
That has to change!
